Okay so it will be obvious when I pull the rubber off? It's difficult to see underneath.

At what point do people start running into problems with valve springs? I was driving last night and noticed after a bit of a blat the motor was missing on a couple of cylinders, and it slowly came back to normal (was fine after that). Not sure if it is that problem exactly but from what I have heard it might be.

My car with 10 psi edit whistles like a Banshee but there certainly aint no loss of power! I think its just extra induction / turbo spinning noise. Whistling is now the dominant noise coming from up front under half to full throttle applications. Regapped my plugs on Friday (Thanks Jordak !!) so its running perfectly with no surging or missing.

Your cylinders dropping at high rpm sounds like valve springs - same as mine. My next step is to fit a high flow cat to reduce back pressure which should assist this.

Other than that I'm very happy with my generic tunes and I think the only advantage (for me and my personal use of the car) of a custom tune would be to bring the torque curve down (and power curve ramping up) to 2000rpm instead of the 3000 - 3500 rpm peak with the CAPA generics.
