February 5, 200620 yr #1 Hi Guys,For those of you that don't already know, there is a driver training day being organised with the Tickford/FPV club at Wanneroo on Thursday 13th April (Good Friday Eve). Driving starts at 6pm but you will need to be there by 5:30pm. Anyone can sign up for the event, no need to join the Tickford/FPV club.It should be great, you can either learn correct driving techniques from the proffessional instructors or you can just go out and have a bit of fun. If you are interested, just fill out the attached form and mail it with your cheque to the address given. All the necessary details should be on the form but if you have any queries you can post them up or PM me.Even if you don't want to drive, it may be wirth a look as there are supposed to be some pretty nice cars attending.Leighbarbs_entry_form.doc
February 5, 200620 yr #3 wait till you come off the track and have to repair the damage, cause your insurance wont have a bar of you.
February 5, 200620 yr #4 Just have to go hit a small tree or something on the way home... then they will haha
February 5, 200620 yr #5 are yes, but don't forget that insurance fraud has some serious pennalties and it could be just one holiday away from home that you don't want to do.even if it means spending some time with big bubber.that is only the half of it cause you would also have to report it to the cops and that is another false report.just keep digging the hole deeper and deeper.
February 6, 200620 yr #6 I'm in. I'd rather race than talk Don't forget, it's a driver training day, not a race day. Should you have an accident it's because you're doing something you shouldn't be.Probably going to do the one in March as well. Edited February 6, 200620 yr by M6 XR6T
February 6, 200620 yr #7 Hehe I know I know.... geez u have to go and spoil all the fun dont ya I must remember where you work in future
February 6, 200620 yr #8 Author 1axr,I know exactly how you feel regarding the insurance issue.I personally won't be driving anywhere near my limits (or the cars for that matter) so I am quite confident that there will be no damage given the fact that the instructors won't be allowing two cars to come even remotely close to each other.I just think that it is a good chance to hone your skills in a safe environment.I think that you will also find that most insurnace companies cover your car whilst you are undertaking a recognised driver training course with qualified instructors.Leigh
February 6, 200620 yr #9 This is true, but the event is timed. Hence I think that theory goes out tte window..It's a whole 'nother ball game with insurance and CAMS if an event is timed.
February 6, 200620 yr #10 I'm not trying to spoil anyones fun.just pointing out the facts.by all means enter the track day but be aware of the conciquences before you enter.also there are over 100 members of the fpv tickford club in wa, so why are they opening the event up to the outside world? just a thought.
