Muzza has aorund 360rwkw I think and he ran an 11.9...

Do you use a T5 or T56?

I was about to post something like "so you've been drag racing for 20 years", then I found out that you are just 19yo, and joined yesterday.

If you've got no drag racing experience I guess that you might do a mid 12.

A lot depends on how quick you can shift, and how much practice you have had.

Just get out there and try it, then report back to us with your opinion... and have fun!

With 300rwkw I'd be pissed off if I only ran a 13!!

I think its possible though with reasonable power, especially if you can get it down. Maybe 330rwkw or so (but then again one persons dyno reading 330rwkw might be 290 or 400 on another dyno!)

To give it a decent crack you'd really wanna run race rubber, remove as much weight as u can (back seats, spare tyre, front seat, run on half tank etc), have well sorted suspension mods ( while the fords are a big luxo barge I think suspension and brakes seem to get overlooked far too much) and plenty of practise to get your launching and gear changing perfect!

Maybe its better to set a MPH goal rather than times? I know mine will be 120mph once I get things sorted (2018 at this stage :()

I was over the moon when I ran my 13.1 and I have over 300rwkw. simply because I know I am pushing sh!t up hill when it comes to running a quick time at the strip.

I've done about 25 passes now and with 330rwkw and a T5 I get mid 13's at about 109mph consistently.

Gear changes and the launch is the tricky bit. If you can get off the line and do a 60ft under 2.2secs you should get a high 12.

In a ute you might get better times because you can launch harder.

yeah, the old manuals aren't the easiest to get down the quarter, I ran 13.08 on street tyres and full weight with around 315rwkw - I reckon there was a very high 12 in it at that power, I'm using a T56 box also

I've just had a retune to about 340rwkw and I reckon I can get into the twelves with that, maybe mid twelves with some stickier tyres

But as MUZ580 said, the launch is the hardest thing in these, especially since they weigh so much
