Is 14.5 L/100 Km Good For City Driving

My overall average, which I haven't reset since getting my T in 03 (92000km on the clock) is 13.6 .

I mainly drive around greater Melbourne, but manage to get out for 200-400km of highway driving about once a month.

sounds pretty good I cant get below 15.9 in city driving might be the heat in darwin? And hey lay off johnsy alright Knights fan and former nova castrian here lol.

I have had my manual T for about a month now... it turns 3 in December, and I haven't reset the trip computer and it is returning 14.4L per 100kms. This is a about the same as my old HSV Senator (factory 215i auto 355ci stroker) returned but if the lead foot *beep* comes out of me then it would climb very quickly... the T not so much, it is far better on juice at cruising speeds and over all. Haven't had the chance to take it out on a bit of trip to really see what it does... I get about 420kms to a tank of 98ron petrol... what do you guys get?

My T is cheaper to refuel than the Senator ever was... Senator used to cost me $90 odd dollars everytime and the T only $70 odd and the tank lasts for basically just as long so I believe without having looked further in to it that the FORD trip computer is a little bit out but the right way rather than the HSV's wrong way...

I have got my car now for 1 month and the frist week I was getting 16lit per 100

then I got it down to 14.8 that's high way drving last weekend did a bit of a trip and got it to 13.8 now she back to 14.3 Thanks to syd traffice!! in the mornings and on the way back frm work I am always in traffice.!

I've had my car 3 months and put on just under 10000km, and the OBC still says 17.2L/100km. I do heaps of city driving, but its not uncommon to go for long drives on the highway which I assume should lower the consumption?

Yep, when I did my first Melboune to Gold Coast driving trip in late September this year (school holidays) driving up the Newell Highway, I did my all time best of 10.5litres/100km in my previous BA XR6 n/a MkI. That was just under 1000km mostly cruising at 110km/h (yeah, true, honest...) Not sure what I'd get now in my new XR6T but I'm running the new BF 6 speed auto so maybe running in 6th gear most of the time might actually get me better economy on a long distance drive...

I'm getting about 17liters/100km right now in the BF mostly peak hour Melbourne city driving in auto Performance mode (but I'm going to be using manual Sports Sequential mode from now on to help run in the engine after advice from vik351...)

I have had mine since August 2003 and I received my lease statement yesterday

Total litres 10,075.64 @$9059.50 14.50l /100km average

Last month was an average of 15.5l/100km im becoming a lead foot. hahahaha

I have an unmodified 6 speed manual BA MKII turbo with 2500km clock which took all of 2 weeks ownership to do. City (Canberra) delivered around 14.5lts/km with a new engine. Canberra-Rutherglen was 10.1 there and 10.2 back. Canberra- Sydney return with too long in thick Sydney traffic showed 11.1 for the total trip.

These figures were taken from the rip computer, so the "real" outcome may be better.

My average is anywhere from 250kms to 350kms out of about 52ltrs at anytime.

20.8l/100kms to 14.8l/100kms. Average is probably around the 17.5l mark. Not bad considering the power level and the size of the injectors............
