Yes. Rarely use battery. Very expenive atm... up around $7k fully configured.

I need the grunt for a large database conversion project, plus mobility, plus 64bit OS and 64-bit SQL Server usage R&D.

Intel is not a viable option, so it rules out most notebook options.
