As for bagging the WRX gearbox, all 'T' owners can't say peeky boo, except owners of 6spd manuals, seems the only box that holds some power in these overweight barges..

As strong as they are they're still noisy as....

rex with an exhaust still is the best sounding car on the road.. imo.

I love my Subarus... but nothing beats a nice sounding V8, expessially if it is supercharged or Turbocharged :stirthepot:

heh I had a run-in with a Rex last weekend on a single lane stretch of private road. He was behind me when I booted it and in all honesty he stayed at my back bumper til I was about halfway through 3rd gear, than I started to creap away. My car at the time had about 1200km, mind you.

The funny thing was I backed off at about 160kmh, and he overtook me, got in front, and flashed his hazards as if he beat me.

V8 is easily the best sounding car, but rex's with loud exhausts are up there in my opinion. I found the rexs sound better inside the car compared to V8s, but that could be due to many factors.

Well guys just wanted to say that it was my T against the sti and I wanna thank my freind Simon for doing a great job on it he deserves the respect and I would recommend him to anyone, as he said we are getting ready to do more mods to my T next week.

I must say that it does take a lot of courage for somone to come on to our forum and admit his loss, and I say good on him cuz most people wouldnt do that, and mate if you ever wanted to take a ride in my T PM me and hopefully if not busy I will take u for a spin.

muzza :spoton:

Well said, :spoton:

Clarke

:spoton: Nice post muzza, and I agree with your sentiments re the STi driver. Pity, we do seem to have scared him off though! :pinch::spoton:

to be honest I havnt spent that much on my car a little over 10k

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

So your telling me that 2 intercoolers, nizpro plenum (+ Piping), forged bottom end, exhaust (s), 'x' set of injectors to get the right ones, edit, 2 fuel pumps/lines etc, surge tank, Trans etc list goes on.. less what you may have got for 2nd hand pieces.

Completely fitted, installed and tuned would come in at just over $10k.

Maybe 'development' special prices, and maybe the cost of the setup you are running now, but I find it impossible for you to have spent a total of "just over 10K"

Not including any $$ recieved from CAPA for running 10's ( if any )

Didn't you start with a Cobra package?? They aint cheap..
