Sounds like a large steaming pile of shizzle to me, however as I know I have done it at least twice I would like to put the myth right to bed.

Please don't prey on my gullability as I fear the veins currently protruding from my head will surely bulge more and eventually burst from the rage I would feel.

This would stem from not being told any of this by my friendly Ford dealer, ESPECIALLY after I specifically asked him how I should AND SHOULDN'T be driving my new toy!!:spoton::blush:

Be gentle with me...

...Oh and yeah, I've got an EL GLi S/Wagon I'm trying to flog off. I'm in Sydney, it's in good condition. PM me for more details!

Cheers :spoton:

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

I've hit it a few times tonight :spoton:

I doubt they'd void warranty over it... that's why they put a limiter on it. :spoton:

before I broke my t5 it was grinding on 1st to second gear change when shifing at over 5000rpm

They told me nothing will be done because "I drive the car beyond its limitations" their exact words that came from the fords gearbox manufacture. they said I should consult the manual for the recommended gear shifting rpm which is in the book at I think from memory 20kms an hour.

then I asked ford australia what the cutout was put in so high for and was told it was only for reving out fifth gear.

What a bunch of...........................................wits.

My XR8 Ute is currently in the dealer getting a new diff due to bearing failure on the passenger side, :spoton:

now, I have have only ever driven the car in any of the alternative modes that Ford provides on it's Auto modes, that is in Drive or SSS mode,

if that proves to be caused my excessive driving technique, then they are going to have a hard time getting back the BA XT wagon I am currently driving while my Ute gets fixed,

having said all that, I have already been told that it's a warranty job.

So beauies, get them on the blower on Monday and hammer the siht out of them, THEIR FEEDING YOU A LINE, it's a warranty job.

It might lose 15% when you drive it out of the Dealership, but I'll get it back one way or another. :spoton:
