we have a new record for highest mph.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Due to time constraints and a massive amount of time invested in both NizEdit and the new N/A packages, Nizpro been very quiet as far as 1/4-mile times are concerned - until last night.
Simon Gishus performed a NizEdit on his Ute work hack (the vehicle is running a 'stock' Stage 2 Cobra kit supplemented with Cobra valve springs and a high volume fuel pump. In addition, the engine is backed with a Nizpro upgraded auto trans (but with stock converter).
The car was packed up at 4ish yesterday afternoon (Friday 25th Feb), driven 50 clicks through Melbourne's peak hour traffic and out to Calder where it was run 6 times over the quarter mile achieving a best of 11.33 @ 126.47 mph (making it the Fastest BA Turbo in the country - mph wise).
Due to the stock converter and even though the car runs Nitto tyres, hooking up proved a major problem with the stock bodied Ute, resulting in a best 60-foot time of a poor 1.87. The car achieved 99.98mph at half-track.
Following the 6 passes, Simon drove the Ute back home past Bayswater, and this morning drove back down to work for a while before heading off in it to pick up a new couch. With all of this, the car managed 14.4 litre per 100 kilometres.
In other words, with only the modifications mentioned (Cobra Stage 2, Edit, valve springs, fuel pump) the 4040-pound Ute (with driver) required 637hp (475kW) to achieve 126.47 mph over the 1/4.
Okay, not everyone wants to go this fast, nor do they want to spend the $9000 required to do it. However, if nothing else Simon has proven that with Edit alone the Ute has picked up almost 6 mph or around 50kW.
So, whether you want to have a low 11-second daily driver or just a nice leisurely high 12-second vehicle with just NizEdit and injectors, these and many other combinations are now available.
This was a email sent to me today from another forumn
Fantastic results Guyz :spoton:
Nizedit is?
A version of CAPA like Stealth edit?
Or just plain new and designed by Nizpro?
Nizedit = the CAPA edit software + box, but custom tuned by Nizpro.
Good to hear that they are getting faster and faster. that's pretty impressive for spending $9k. You would pretty much be able to blow the doors of anything on the street besides exotic supercars.
I wonder when we will see another 10 second pass? Its been a while hasn't it?
Tell me if im wrong but im pretty sure this car has a twin 4" exhaust and a very special suspension setup under it so its a little more than just a stage 2 and edit
But good mph but for close to 400rwkw I would be hoping for more the car has the power and setup to get a 10
Looking at the statisitics in the opening thread, it shows the 60 foot time at 1.87, and you being a drag racer should know that this isn't a good 60'. So it would appear that a 4-link is irrelevant.
As to the zorst, you're wrong mate, sorry. Factory apart from a modified section to accommodate that 4-link (is the explanation from the Nizpro website).
