It was manual, I'm not sure of the stock figure exactly I think it was 203kw. DW Was there he may remember.

mmmmmmm sounds a lot for a stock T !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No that sounds about right for a stock manual. My Manual T had 205rwkw stock, I have seen 210rwkw on a stock Manual T. Most seem to avg around 200rwkw autos around 185-190rwkw.

Manuals have more power than autos, autos are quicker.

Which brings me to a question, does the EDIT programme have to specify wether it is a manual or auto? I.e when you order it do you have to indicate wether your T is manual or auto?

There surely must be variations in the rev range etc?

I believe that there are different programs for auto and manual. The CPU has to deal with shift points and firmness etc for auto's.

I'm interested to see what happens when these edited cars make a visit to a ford dealer. I know its been said that if you flash back the stock tune Ford is none the wiser but I just need some convincing :spoton:

It makes common sense in principal, however your question is a good one.

My question to the guys would be that the PCM records certain things as so when it goes to the dealer it tells them what has been happeing with the operation of the car? Correct?

If you run your EDIT programme then reflash the standard tune back in to go to the dealer, surely there will be no information or parametres recorded as that programme has technically not been in the car?

So surely alarm bells would ring or questions asked as to why there is no information recorded on the PCM between services?

I know it's simplistic but surely this could be how they detect something has been done to the car? :gooff:

Good question and one I have been thinking about. Surely the computer will show up something :spoton:
