Maybe so.....I'm leaving a layer 3 bridged LLC setup which is in no way throttled and you get the full performance out of it but a 512/128 $59.99 to a 1.5mb/256 for $49.99. Can't go wrong. If I'm not happy, pfft, can always change back in 6 months..

That's the one I've got at home - can only recall once that I had problems with the connection and it was resolved within a couple of hours.  I'm as happy as a pig in sh1t with it.

If the QOS isnt that good...only 6 months and its upto TPG to provide the QOS anyways.

I'm moving atm though so am on my staff dialup acct..... theres no way I can live like this...so stoneage!!!

I'm an Internode user myself.

SOHO plans have flatrate plans with them and non flatrate shaped 128k. I'm on a 1.5Mb/256k flatrate plan for $149 per month. You get about 30GB before your downloads get flatrated. When I applied internode locked you in for only 3 months, which is good IMO. 2 Months with them and I won't be going anywhere.

They also have home plans that are not flatrated. 24GB per month is the max in these I think, for $89 from memory. (don't quote me on the price)

They have plenty of games servers (which you don't seem to want) and they have alot of good site mirrors which are not counted towards your downloads. They only count other downloads towards your monthly tally. Uploads are not counted at all.

I know you're not going to believe me (so why bother), but it's not all porn ... I do actually use the bandwith for work-related purposes as well ...

Example: The latest upgrade for one of our workflow products runs ~986Mb. I spent 2 days (resuming on and off) downloading it from one of our Canadian servers.

pauly - lemme know how it goes...I'd be interested on what QOS u get with TPG...heard good and bad stories...seems to be pot luck depending on where u live as to what kinda speed/pings u get.
