I question the popularity of twin turbo V8 kits. I wonder how many APS will sell. Anyone know how much they will go for?

There's issues with the Ford driveline now with anything over 280 @ the wheels hows it going to handle 350 + rwklw :spoton:

Good question, with extra power ya gotta beef up various components to handle the torque n power. Is this a case of engineering-driven marketing or consumer-demand marketing?

Have APS been probed with that many requests for twin-turbo V8s? I have nfi. Arent most V8 guys precisely that - V8 guys...rather than turbo guys?!

Well I'm a V8 guy. I'm also a turbo guy. So if you can gimme both I'm going to be smilin' bigtime!!

However, I think the twin turbo APS BOSS will be very exxy. Much better bang for buck with the modded T6 or modded Typhoon.

I also see engine room heat problems with a turbo system on a V8. I know how difficult it was/is for me to keep heat out of my engine bay with just a six and lotsa space around it - almost impossible to manage with the BOSS V8 shoehorned into the BA engine bay I would reckon.

XR6ikness,

If we are comparing standard cars the GT is faster than the turbos including the phoon, however I agree with you if the turbos'sare modified well then as yous ay I should be eaten.

And for these cars I have my modified WRX.

I havebeen told there are Harrod systems whihc will pump power out 350Kb at the motor.

Either way they are all good cars.

wrx365,

Geez only 350Kb, I have a 1000Kb Cable that could kick your but

I think you need to upgrade to a faster provider.

At a guess around 12 to 13k for the APS Intercooled Twin Turbo System plus install and dyno tuning. This price could vary though depending on the number of components required to ensure reliable engine operation.

This might be right if you go by what the magazines will tell you but myself and other foum members has seen a std T run consistant 13.8 's with a best of 13.6 and yet to see or hear of a std GT or a Wrx run a sub 14 second pass

APS don't. Their current LS1 twin turbo system places the turbos on the underside of the car greatly reducing heat issues.

As for driveline issues, the 6 speed should be able to handle the torque. The auto is questionable but with mods it should work ok as well.

I think when the TT system comes out for the Xr8 you'd spend less money on it to get the same power as that in a T and the 8 would end up sounding better.
