Sounds like one of the door lock actuators is broken. If it's the shaft then you'll hear the motor work, but the door won't lock. The shaft can be replaced. If the motor is gone then you'll need a new actuator. You'll need to narrow down which door actuator is faulty.

Cranny, are you worried that they won't fix it? They'll have to fix it mate. Don't worry about that. It's just a matter of whether they do it the hard way or the easy way.

Head gaskets and broken head studs immediately come to mind. Both common up until BA. Taxi's can't be counted. They are always running. Just the driver changes, so they don't go through the normal warm up (expansion) - cool down (contraction) routine like private cars do.

You could try an uninstall and reinstall of IE.

You have to take it to Ford. No other choice. I'd ring customer service first though and explain to them the situation. Make sure you express how disappointed you are after spending such a large amount of money. Really drive that point home.

Any interest in a 2 day cruise/meet for the L&H 500 V8 Supercars at Phillip Island on September 16-18th 2011? People could also just attend the event for one day. Either Saturday or Sunday.

The FG has dedicated BT music streaming. The system is built for iPods. The BA/BF kit is only a BT phone kit. It's only mono sound. I use the AUX audio kit for playing music off my iPhone.

Yep. It's terrible. Worst part is you can't turn it off. If you have Bluetooth on anything your phone does will be broadcast through the BT. Playing music, message alerts etc. If only Apple would include the ability to turn off individual BT protocols. There used to be a jailbroken app that could do it. Worked perfectly. Not sure if it's still around these days.

Steering rack clicking was an early BA fault. I thought that was sorted. My BF has never done it and this is the first I've read of a FG having this problem. They put shims in somewhere where there's a bit of movement. Does the engine rattle happen every time you start the car cold or just every so often?

Yep. It reads differently... Sounded like you were going to put the injectors in and then take it in for tuning. No point wasting time.

Upper mount is 70nm and lower mount is 130nm.

Have you read the replies in this thread? You CAN NOT put larger injectors in without a tune to suit them.

Does it have any switches or lights at the very bottom below the door? When my mum defrosted her freezer water got into one of the switches and shorted it out. I bypassed the switch and everything is good again.

F6E and F6 are the same thing when in comes to 1/4 mile times IMO.

He doesn't keep the cars long enough or drive enough for the brakes to wear out. Probably never brought tyres either.
