First I would want to know: do they have proof you were speeding? If not then just say I was doing a safe speed, unable to constantly look at the speedo but I imagine id be doin 70, 75. No proof? No chance. (This is were a lawyer would help) The fact is on a quite road, in safe cars we are over regulated. There is nothing you can do with out breaking a law of some kind. The government and laws are OURS. So how do we get so controoled by nitpicking government. I should note that I would never condone wrekles driving especialy when there are innocent people around. This little spurt for 30m's doesnt sound to dangerous IMHO At the end of the day you just need to cast doubt on the whole situation. Say the cop was distracting or something. Lets look at through my situation. I drive an 4sp XR8, almost stock. Your stock T's will often give the 8 a bit of ashow up. So just look at these numbers now: 5.4L DOHC V8 is going to be in serious strife against the 200KW V6 FWD? mmm something is very fishy here. Also lets not forget to mention that toyota is safety this, electonic that... Where is the Traction control or ESP swotch! that's right...FWD with 200KW and no TC could cause a few hick ups! But I agree with some of you guys. It is definately there best effort yet,a nd whilst it is essentially a camry, the looks leave the old sportivo for dead. Yes the xr6 or SV6 should probably keep it in check.

As there were 2 cars here both with suprisingly high numbers, and both at Heinrich dyno, It would be interesting to see it on the 1/4 mile. Might shed a littlme more light on it.

I like it! when I was a Late model camira driver, I hated the AU's. They have since grown on me a little (as I can often see the similarities between the AU and BA/F.) The ute was fortunate in that it missed out on the AU tail light treatment!

Stock xr8's can do 13.6-13.8 with a decent driver, plenty have done it. My first ever visit to the drag strip with 4,oook's on the car netted a 14.oo with a 2.2 6oFt time, stock. I know with a few more attemps that night it'd have gone quicker. that's quite good. we dont have a strip in Alice yet. Territory government is a little slow when it comes to Alice. Darwin this, darwin that. Then we lose our open speed roads!. Mongrels. I remember seeing 13.98 or something like that for astock xr8 in wheels or motor. So its good to know that my car should be able to scrape into the 13s. No 11 second pass or anything lol but still fitter than the average car getting around.

Funny stuff. But the quaestion is: would 13.87 beat an xr8 with twin system exhaust only? I PM this guy, give him some credit 250RWK out of a 1400kg car or what ever it is, should be reasonably quick. This time was on a wet track.

Cheers mate, Sorry fellas the next one should be a bit easier to hear, tommor ill head out and get someone to actualy hold the camera for me whilst taking off, goin harder. Like I said the attatched video is only like 3000 rpm or so and not really giving it to it by any means! When using Sequential and shifting down upon a corner you can really really hear that warbling sound, so ill try to capture that aswell tomorrow

Also when its driven above 3500RPM its a real beast, But its best to pick the roads wisely for that. Its still all of the above Have you got an edit at all? If not how does the car cope with a free flowing exhaust and not hit some factory tuned power capping limp mode bullsh*t thing dont get me wrong. I love it, its got plenty of go and its glued to the road! No not edited YET. the car has been running like a dream. No probs at all. And yes the V8 buldge is cool!
