Hey guys, I am looking at selling the XR8 to get into a BF series 6sp auto turbo. I plan on just doing a few mods to get upto around 300RWK. Just wondering what/if any real differences are between BF and BFII, such as stability control, brakes and engine spec/strength. I think its plausible.... xr6T does 5.1, NOT RUN IN then I believe a typhoon will easy do 4.8 or 4.9, and 4.7 definately is in the realm of possibilities. The difference between ba/bf T and the F6 were worlds apart in driving feel, and im sure this will be the case again. With 30% less lag, quicker shifts then I say its possible(or not far off it) !

Correct! Only the xr models now get the scalloped looks. FPV went for the more euro look....and then decided to compliment with the racoon eyes!! haha its a seriously hot car though!

I am looking at replacing the sanyo amp with a 2 ch amp I have laying around. I currently use the stock sanyo to power a 10" alpine (and have the 8" stocker disconnected) Whilst the sanyo is an honest enoug thing (made in japan!!) it does not allow you to adjust gains etc, and the premium sounds bass adjustment is quite poor.So essential just want to use the 2ch in place of the sanyo to run the new sub. DOes anybody have a diagram of what the wires into the amp are? I just want to cut the sanyo wiring loom and put it into the 2ch. Any help would be great!

I personally dont worry about letting it warm up too much for a few reasons: A) They seem to go harder when cold lol (running richer I guess) B) I only plan on keeping the car up until 100,000ks MAX so I dont really think there is any problem. I dont want it to last forever. My car has 60,000ks (xr8) on it and its perfect. I drive it, I enjoy it that's all that matters for me, it's never going to be a museum piece!

Makes the HSV 6L V8 times of sub 5 look a bit ordinary doesnt it... Dont know about you guys, but I think that we may have to show some respect to the Taxi drivers if they can do 0-100 in 6 something lol.

Another what if... Some tyres are noisy as all hell! You can be turning or taking off and even if you are doing a totaly safe and reasonable speed they make a bit of a squeel... Maybe they should keep crap rubber out of the shops.

Get something fresh...FG all the way, I dont see great value in run out models...I see them offloading old stuff at what ever price it takes to move it. Dont get me wrong the BA/BF is beautiful, but I personally, after owning the current body shape, want the new model. You get all the new gadgets, the interior looks fantastic and also DSC is nice little feature for the average person...

Its even better when the stolen sedans get used to drive somewhere outbush, I know of a 350Z that was nicked and ended up bogged on the way to a community...

Well the problem here is he is missing two important things to make it sound like an FPV. 1 - Typhoon - You need to get a turbo, or maybe a "shoo roo" to make the whistling sound. 2 - GT - Need 2 more cylinders to sound like a boss. On NA cars I rekon extractors are a must, whilst doesnt make it much louder it does sound throatier.

for resale get the latest year car you can...dont wory about the 5k for mods just put it into getting the climate control and premium sound an things as an option. 30K should get you the car you want... If you really want the bulge though I suggest an XR8!
