  1. oh man :( no good - id cry if someone did that to my car! too many pricks out there that are jealous of guys who work hard for what they own! I bet these low lifes drive arouind 1970' model VH with rust through the floor. absolute morons. hence why I use dads work car if I go shopping. Somewhat related topic - did anyone see the trial Nissan Paint that can heal itself? as long as it does not penetrate all three layers of the paint, when it gets heated up, it can heal itself? more info here: http://www.treehugger.com/files/2005/12/nissan_paint_th.php and here; http://www.forbes.com/markets/feeds/afx/20...afx2364947.html I wonder when this kind of paint will be available to all car makers. Honestly, im surprised that Nissan came up with this, I would of thought it would of been one of the big Euro players with such a "invention" Wonder if Ford have trialed/thought about this idea?
  2. I prefer dunlops! the ST001's and the FM901's I had lasted my magna about 35kish, and were brilliant grip factor! (really needed good tyres to control 300kw at the front) id get FM901's again without any hesitation! as for your comment about dunlops being cheap sh*tty tyres - I think you might of gotten Kmart tyre and auto to fit their 35$ used dunlop specials, from last weeks catalogue hehe.
  3. Lesss then one month and 1000km Got my Edit booked in a few weeks when I get down to adelaide.
  4. that's intresting!! - my car goes in for service tomorrow - ill ask them about this setting and make sure its set right for me too!
  5. stop wasting your time reading this and go buy one! part number 33-2852. I just changed the filter this afternoon, and INSTANTLY noticed a reasionable difference! the throttle more respnsive, wants to rev more, and there is a bit more of a underbonet roar now! so ive only done 10ks on the new filter, but im sure fuel consumption will be lower too.. but wait for this tank of fuel (which is full now, last tank was 18.9/100 worked out from pump reading) I wont change my driving style, so will be intresting to see if anything happens Go my ford XR owners!! go buy buy buy its brilliant and well worth the 130bucks I paid!!!!
  6. Ill prolly move up another step in 4 years. by then ill be in a even better finiancial position (hopefully). so more an age issue for me at this time
  7. on the Booya mobile I used Dunlop SST 001's but I think they are discontinued and were replaced with FM901's which were Brilliant!! Awesome tyre and little noise (that I was fussed with) altho, quite exxy though!!
  8. pffft. I just bought a BF, sif they didnt give the BF XR6T's a 260kw upgrade lol. stooopid ford in all seriousness - I think it would be wise move for ford to up the ante against the VE - specially in the FPV stakes!
  9. Cant everyone see its Designed for the waterways!! those rear doors are the paddles!!! haha altho, those rims I think would sink the boat!
  10. Why did it close? I held the annual 4,6 & rotoary meet there? that must of been canned too!
  11. Adelaide International Closed :S yikes. not much happens in adelaide after all! lol
  12. Ok, so does this 27mm swaybar (#BFF21) fit a BF ute too? from the ute owners out there - have you guys done much with the rear end? (sorry for hijacking, but I thought id be get flamed if I opened up another thread )

    Aero Specs

Some intresting points you bring up! im all for working something out with the underside dynamics! I think next time ive got the ute on the hoyst, I might measure up some cheap .5mm alloy and cut some skid plates for the rear meh - anyone got any information on the V8 Brutes? any diagriams, or technical info? I think if anything these guys will have the Aero Knowhow. anyone got some pics of one on its roof? maybe there is something we can learn from it
  15. one hopes that his chrildren will continue his great legacy once they learn the circle of life. RIP to Steve, one of Australia's most Iconic figures.

  17. my grandfather gave me a 10g fine gold 999.9 Credit Susie solid pendant before he passed away some few years ago. its been on my neck ever since he gave it to me, its never been off unless it needs to, shower, swim and shag with my chain
  18. has anyone done a tutorial on the Front Bumper removal? pref with pics? is it just a simple matter of unscrewing a dozen or so screws or is there more to it? any hidden or tricky screws? Cheers

  20. if something serious was going to eventuate from this - id say Adelaide would be a good spot - as its fairly close to Sydney, Melbourne, Alice Springs (all within a full days drive) and brisbane, perth (two days) just a suggestion I vote one - Adelaide :D

    0-100km/hour

where do they claim this? on drive it said 13.23 manual, 13.18 auto claimed? ← ok, so based on these figures looks like the least you'd need is an Edit to run a high 12 70k sedan vs a 45k + 2k for mods

    0-100km/hour

    Preformance Figures tried that too
  24. BOoya

    0-100km/hour

ive tried to google the VE proformance figures, no avail - even did the dreaded thing to look at the LS1/streetcommodores forums for answers, to no avail! then tried to search our forums "0-100", "proformance figures" etc etc, but only get the generic info we all know im specificially after someone's estimate of a 300rwkw t's 0-100km with a ZF or even with someone with 250RWKW

    0-100km/hour

Well, looks like the E series HSVs are claiming 4.89 0-100 manual, and 5.06 auto. There was a DRive video that demonstrates this (however, after the dismal video "comparing" the Bogan special and XR8, I dont know what to belive!) so begs the question, real world figures for a SS and Bogan special (worse case) say 5.3seconds 0-100, how does the falcon stack up? whats the stock T's 6auto time 0-100? add an Edit into the equasion - 250odd RWKW, what are you guys estimating your 0-100 times? would a 300RWKW 6auto tune tame the lions in the single-tonne dash? Where does the VE Series of 6L 8's put them on the 1/4mile register?
