Howdy all! not sure if this is the right area, but no doubt some of you Ute Owners would of no doubt thought about it, (and after an extensive search yelded nil results) but has anyone done / has a kit that will make the hard tonneau cover work with the remote central locking, or even a kit that works on its own without using the damn half inch ford key? or even a seperate remote for the hardtop would be ace. understand what im talking about? One of these days im going to slip with the key and give my hard cover a nasty scratch :( Any suggestions / kits and or comments? Cheers Ben.

Nice work!! YOu'll Love EGO, I picked up my EGO T ute on monday, and in the direct sunlight - its amazing and really is a head turner!!! everyone loves the pearl! Have fun when you get it - it will be the slowest month ever! lol. I had the slowest 3 hours when they rang me to say pick it up at 5pm!! lol. those three hours felt like 10! lol Enjoy.

I have premium sound with the 6stack, so would this mean its is colour screen? There is just no colour as so ever, not even a colour ford logo when loading? ill take a good picture when I finish my shift. Thanks for all you help!!

Sorry for the N00b question, Stock BF XR6T 6Auto - I was told by a mate that *cant remember what now* if done could give me a fuel consumpson between 7-10l/100 and more power and torque? it will be a stock stock stock xr6t, and not really intrested in changing exhaust or anything, just looking for better fuel economy. any pointers> Cheer guys!! Howdy All, not sure if this is the right place - but in a nutshell my brand new BF XR6T Ute has premium sound (as per Magnet package) however I was dissapointed that its not the colour screen :( IS there anyway I can just find a colour screen from a wrecked premium sound, and just change the screen over? main reason is to add a car-puter as per some of the topics here + a dvd system. Hey tab, nuthin' wrong with NT people especially someone with a T there. At least you can really stretch its legs there. Driving between Alice and Uluru or Tennant Creek is great stuff. You should try it. You can just go and go for ages. Boo, I know you will have a good time with your car in Alice especially when you get it out of town a bit. I have just moved from NT and already miss the open highways there. Have fun! ← Yep, my father has a roadhouse 380km N of Alice SPrings - so ive got plenty of times and reasons for a quick trip up the road - and 380k's well, hopefully a 72L tank can last haha Yes, as much as I HATE alice springs with a passion (I think my job opens my eyes to a whole different alice springs then the general public see) there is just a magnetic attraction to our open roads and the fact it only takes me just on 9hours (with booya) from alice to darwin in one hit. maybe the T can break that personal best? errr.. not jsut yet, I still gotta get use to the tilt and reach steering wheel!! :D haha Cheers for the welcoming - and thanks for not bagging the magna, we are all car enthusists, and I chose a magna to be different BOoya

not much at this stage, but next set of shoes ill get some lowering, and then once the motor is run in a bit more (15-20k) then might look at a ECU edit or few quick power fixes, just to kee the excitment there haha

There are a few people on here (well, two I know of) who can vouch for me, (Bain - melbourne White XR6T Mk2 and Rob, Alice springs Yellow 'Foon.) there is a video of me clocking just over 280km/hour (283 before I backed off) on a outback nt highway, 305kw/650+nm, if you search the net you'll prolly find it - it was posted once, and ended up on 14forums at last count. quick rundown was; 6G72 3.0L / GT40R / 700cc injectors / 2x 700hp fuel pumps / 2x 550hp lift pumps / 93L cutom drop tank / 19" / Haltech E6X full replacment / Custom PWR fmic / custom internals, including pistons, heads and bottom end + cams / custom paint "New gold cobra" / Sponsorhip decals / brakes, but way to much to mention, lost 45k in receipts when she was written off. unfortinately never got to get a proper q/mile time before she was destroyed by fire :(:( but id estimate but not claim a high12/low13 just from feedback and power-to-weight + outright figures suggest. but bring on the XR6T oh - pics of the magna - http://farkas69.gallery.netspace.net.au/BOoya

Howdy all, Ben is my name, Student Paramedic in the NT (alice springs of all places ) - previously the owner of a turbo gold 300+kw magna (some may reckonise the plate "BOOYA" but this time round, something a little more stock with a turbo would be fine. so I picked up my brand new XR6T Ute. the specs; BF 4.0L Turbo 6-auto XR Leather sports seats 18"s Momo Wheel Premium Sound. EGO which is better then black!!
