did some fishing this arvo down freo and spotted a nicely worked white turbo in the red herring carpark. also got busted off by some monster flathead in around the leeuwin yatch club boat pens. the thing decided to take a B line for the pylons and there was no stopping it. *snap* and gone, spewin'.

I think I'll be going down the same path as you Zap. I'll be fitting the swaybars first and then evaluate the setup. If I feel it needs some more stiffness, I'll then do the adjustable shocks and springs. What model Koni's are you running Zap?

Yeah mate, if you could get me the full part numbers that would be a great help. Are the Bilstein's your running adjustable height only? So it has no adjustment for how the actual shock absorber performs?

Been doing some research as to which adjustable shocks to put on a Typhoon. Found some interesting reviews/presentations on the topic of Bilstein vs. Koni. http://www.tuninglinx.com/html/koni-bilstein-shocks.html (an interesting review, comes to the conclusion koni for street and bilstein for track) http://www.koni-na.com/presentations/mustang/ (could be a bit bias on this one. Not really an apples with apples comparison as the koni's were adjustable and the bilsteins were non-adjustable but the koni's come out on top.) What specific model of Koni and Bilstein adjustable shocks are people running on their vehicles? Once I've got some specific models I'll try hunt down some better comparisons.

Are you serious, the Nürburgring! What's that setting you back? I'm going to be over there late September this year and was hoping to squeeze in a lap or two. I figure its something you have to do at least once in your life. How do you book tickets and what car you get? Apparently its huge fines if you get caught lapping it in a hire car.

Finally a cruise! I'll come along granted I don't get too messy at the pub after work.

the Vehicle Hub Pro is slow to respond and has a cheesey interface. Its also getting old now and you can't update the system or its interface to keep up with the times. Once you've bought it, that's it dead money. Carputer is still definitely the way to go. You can always upgrade and expand on a carputer system with regards to both software and hardware. You get a lot more storage capacity for your dollars and it responds a lot quicker when selecting tracks/playlists. It's a no brainer really.

Spotted a dark grey ferrari 430 syder this arvo. And to my amazement watched it turn out of hale road onto west coast hwy like an absolute larry, with enough beans for the back end to step out a bit before it straightened up. My eyes have lit up thinking here's my big chance to put the phoon up against a ferrari so I catch him up, as you do! I’ve caught up with this bloke, pulling along side and dropped it back to 3rd ready for fireworks. We travel along side by side for about 30 seconds or so and nothing. I dip my nose in front a couple of times and still nothing. He then proceeds to slow down to under 50km/h (in a 70km/h) so I drop it back into 2nd matching his speed thinking his gunna nail this thing in a second, yet still nothing! By this time we've travelled a considerable distance and fair enough he doesn't want a bar of it. I leave him be and bring my car back up to the speed limit to continue on my merry way. Next thing you know, he accelerates back up along side me, gives me an ear full of abuse and hammers this thing turning left onto Oceanic drive revving the absolute bejesus out of it in the process. I can sympathise with the fact he would have to put up with every second car on the road trying to give him a run. That would honestly be the worst thing about owning that type of car. And that's fair enough if you want to drive it like a gentlemen, I can respect that. But mate, when you fly around a corner nailing it in a ferrari your asking for a run! You can't then just turn down a run and when you feel like it accelerate past me, give me an ear bashing and turn off wondering why I even annoyed you in the first place! What a clown. I'm glad I managed to piss him off and spoil his little sunset cruise down the coast with the top down

this weekend saw the first time ive paid over $80 dollars to fill the tank. $81.76 to be exact. I drove from home to the city and back and used 1/4 of a tank. that's 20 farkin bucks just vanished! fuel prices are becoming a joke

Yes you need to have you're PS3 signed up and connected to the internet to download. The game is available from the PS3 Onlinestore which is available from the main menu. The game is downloaded from under "Full Games" then "Racing" then click on "GT HD Concept 2". There you will see a download button, click that and the game starts downloading.

bloody mongrels. sorry to hear about the bad news mate. that's one of the problems with stick on or dash mounted sat nav systems. everyone can see you've got one and even if you go to the trouble of taking it down and hiding it, the tell tale signs of ciggy power cable, mounting bracket or suction marks on your window are a neon sign to would-be thieves. a carputer is still the best way to go I think. its 100% stealth, everything looks completely stock yet you've got every gismo under the sun right at your finger tips.

you can download the demo of GT5 atm. It's a 800mb download and takes about 20 to 30mins. Once you've got it though you get 1 track that you can race in forwards and reverse or drift along with 10 cars and 10 tuned cars. I'm not even going to talk about the game its just that good. Been playing it all weekend. If this is anything to go by the full version with GT5 TV is going to be insane.

just get a mate who's in the force to look up the rego and find out where they live, then let the insurance company do the rest. Once you know who they are and where they live... its a done deal.
