  2. Happy Birthday bonza!

  3. That's just for prawning. 3 to 4 days before and after the full moon is usually the best fishing, tides are at their peak then.
  4. spotted/raced Dorko in his Freelander? (he beat me off the lights) What are you doing mate, get back in a Falcon!!
  5. Havn't done an awful lot of fishing this summer, only caught a couple of flathead down the leuwin boat pens on jigs. Anyone having better luck with the fishing around metro area?
  6. yeh count me in, I need to blow out the cobwebs
  7. Had the car serviced the other day and found what seems to be oil in the coolent reservoir. Anyone had this issue before and could this be the first signs of a bigger problem?
  8. We're alot cheaper than that now mate. With a new hardware vendor and a mob who makes the cables for us. We've been able to reduce the costs quite considerably. Building a new website atm, will be releasing our carputer solution for the FG early in the new year on it. Stay tuned.
  9. I wouldnt waste your time with an Alpine Vehicle Hub, just get a car computer
  10. These ones are no good, they use the old resistive touchscreen technology and they show too much glare. You get what you pay for with these things.
  11. the nav computer/processor is located behind the glove box. open the glove box, pop it off the top hindge and swing it down. there behind you should see it positioned on the left hand side of the cavity.
  12. What's the going rate for a front bumper respray these days? Vehicle is a BF Typhoon.
  13. Came across this this other day. It's another brilliant automotive short film similar to Rendezvous. Awesome sound and footage filmed at the famous Pikes Peak. Some might remember the Pikes Peak track from the early Gran Tourismo days. "Climb Dance is a famous short film, which features Finnish rally driver Ari Vatanen setting a record time in a highly modified four-wheel drive, all-wheel steering Peugeot 405 Turbo 16 GR at the 1988 Pikes Peak International Hillclimb in Colorado, USA."
  14. have u considered a car computer or is the ability to play DVD all your looking for? Movies come in all sorts of formats these days dvd, blue ray etc. then you have a myriad of other digital formats divX, Avi, Mpg and so on. Having a car computer will allow you to play all video types regardless of their format.
  15. Finally it looks like us sand gropers are getting another regional Motorplex to compliment the Collie Raceway. If done right, this could be promising. I’ve been to the Dowerin Field Day a few times now, it’s a great day out. The town turns into ute city during the week of the show, heaps of country folk from all over WA converge on the town in their crazy V8 utes. Should bring for some interesting times once they've got their own motorplex! http://www.dowerinfielddays.com.au/motorplex.htm
  16. winter sucks... been looking at planning a trip next year to Cape Don - http://www.capedon.com.au/fishing.html or perhaps Rowley Shoals. Can anybody recommend a good cruise operator who runs fishing trips to Rowleys?

    Best Beer

Anyone tried the german beer "Erdinger"?? haven't tasted anything better yet. I was talking to a german bloke the other day and apparently its considered the VB of Germany. All the young folk drink it and take it to parties cos its cheap as chips. It's a smoother yet darker version of Hoegaarden but without the soapy after taste. It's so easy to drink.
  18. shame they only come in automatic, where's the fun in that
  19. its a waste of time exercise if they don't make this thing AWD.
  20. It’s a sad day and disappointing it had to end this way for Dick. However, it’s a decision that had to be made. Ford has gone too long without a proper connection between their V8 Supercar efforts the FPV range of vehicles. Finally it looks like Ford are there pooling the resources and channelling it towards achieving a better brand association between the blue oval and V8 Supercars. This can only be a good thing. It's just a sh#thouse way they've gone about it.
  21. maybe you guys just need to drive faster?
  22. http://www.leftlanenews.com/z-before-g-che...g-lap-time.html "General Motors has announced that its Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 has navigated Germany’s famed Nürburgring in 7 minutes 26.4 seconds – besting the mighty Nissan GT-R by nearly three seconds (7:29). The Corvette ZR1 set the blistering mark earlier this morning, piloted by GM development engineer Jim Mero. The announcement was made today by Tadge J. Juechter, the Corvette’s Chief Engineer, on the GMNext blog. Although the mark of 7 minutes 26.4 seconds is amazingly fast, Mero said that he thought he could shaved a couple tics off that mark. Conditions for the run were good, although there was a stiff headwind down the main straight away. The Corvette ZR1 that set the mark was completely stock, including a tank full of pump gas. With the ZR1 besting the GT-R’s mark, the gloves are probably officially off. Both Lexus and Acura have vowed that their upcoming supercars – the LF-A and NSX, respectively – will trump the GT-R, but the Japanese automakers will now have to set their sights on the most potent Chevrolet ever created. Moreover, Nissan is developing an even more high-performance V-Spec version of the GT-R, which could potentially trump the ZR1’s 7:26.4 lap time. The latest round of supercar wars just got very interesting… "
