an aftermarket front bar needs new lights as the xr headlight are to big

hey guys just wondering if any of you guys have had this problem or know what it could be. the auto has been upgraded at bayswater autos same 4spd just strengthened. 1st - 2nd shift is normal 2nd - 3rd grinding noise/whining noise, not coming from the auto but more so the rear of car, it wants to go into gear, makes this sound while delay then grabs gear. 3rd - 4th shift is normal going bak down the gears they are all perfectly fine.

anyone know why the turbo bolts would keep coming loose? happens every 3- 6 months front side of turbo, not the turbo to manifold bolts. sounds like a deep hollow sound when revving once the bolts are loose/out

hey guys need help asap.. I hav a ba and need a rwc asap (before wednesday) a mate of mine has a set of bf mkii springs that I wanted to put in for roadworthy purposes only.. just wondering if they fit with the ba shocks.. and if its a hard job to do? it will only be for the day..

hey guys ive tried using the search function to find the topics about coolant leaking inside care and the heater core problems, as I know there is some, just I cant seem to find them. any help appreicated though. was driving around yesterday and started noticing the temperature guage rise, so pulling over I popped the bonnet to notice the coolant bottle was EMPTY. this didnt seem right as not even a week ago the level was inbetween the min and max on the bottle. waited for the car to cool down a bit then topped it up with water. drove home everything seemed ok again. when I got back in the car later that day I noticed the floor at my feet was a bit wet, but having rained in the morning I thought it was just from my shoes. went to work.. after finishing work I checked the levels again just to be safe and yes again the bottle was empty..topped it up with more water and went home. the inside of the car reaked of coolant so I soon realised it wasnt water at my feat it was actually coolant. ive heard this is the heater core problem, but was wondering if maybe it was due to something else, hose burst etc what prices would I be looking at, and also where abouts do people recomend I take it as I know FORD will be a ripoff

hey guys need some help asap just recently I have started noticing a weird grinding type noise coming from what sounds to be the rear of the car its only happens in between 2nd to 3rd gears (4spd auto) the auto itself had been strengthened 3 months ago so im hoping its not that. normal driving u hear the noise but it goes into gear straight away but under full throttle it has a short delay between changed n makes that really weird sound.... any help greatly appreciated..

does it matter if the car is modded or not to which plugs I should be getting.

the tyres are dunlop sport maxx wateva they are, so I dont think they are too sh*t. not sure why the rim was buckled, guessing pothole or 2 as no gutters have been hit or anything like that. the wheel bearing has been changed twice now, both times on the front right. wat would I be checking for to know if anything is bent in the steering or something.

hey guys just wondering if anyone could help me out. been getting alot of "brake shudder" type thing through the steering at speeds over 90k's, but not actualli braking, its just the shudder thing I can feel. ive had my rims re-rolled as 1 was buckled, that didnt fix anything had the wheels balance and alignment done, that didnt fix anything. so im wondering what else could be causing it. any help appreciated.

I have the same problem with my car, although it only happens in the wet weather for some reason. driving along it is knocking underneath where you say your problem is, and turning hard left makes it worse.

hey guys, just recently noticed a kind of whining noise coming from the front left. can feel the vibration (not to bad), but can feel it throught the steering. and hav noticed wen steering left it makes a louder noise. mates say its the wheel bearings, but thought id ask here to get some ideas if it could be anything else. if it is wheel bearings, where is a good place to go to get it fixed. and where is a good place to get it checked out at..anyone specialise or just a normal mechanic..

hey does anyone recomend an upgrade cooler for the xr5 or how much power can a standard one put out.

wen I was hit from behind, I got a typhoon kit out of insurance as the panels are cheaper than originals (fibreglass though) a place in springvale did my car. got the car fixed, resprayed and new kit all under insurance.with the money saved on getting the bodykit instead of originals, the painted the keyed panels on my car. speak to a guy named murray. he took them off as he sold the car and put the stock parts back on. it was an 02' monaro. on the rears it says AP RACING, the fronts say HSV but are a kit apparently.

as the topic states, this to me is a stupid question but im going to ask it anyway. a mate of mine has taken his ap racing 4/6piston calipers break system some sh!t like that, off his monaro and I was just wondering is there anyway I can use these on my xr.

knocking noise that sound like it is coming from the engine. knocking/rattling noise. only happens wen the car is in drive, stationary. eg traffic lights. once u put the car into neutral, the noise doesnt seem to be there. I thought it may be something to do with the exhaust hitting something, but I checkd that and didnt seem to be the case. I have only recently noticed the noise getting louder and more frequent. any ideas on what this could be?

after having my stacker sh*t itself this week, a new headunit is easiest solution to the problem. was wondering if I got a dvd/mp3/cd head unit that fits in the tissue box slot, is there anyway possible to use the premium sound screen as the ouput for the dvd, WITHOUT getting the kit through asl logistics? not sure if this topic has been covered before, looked through a couple pages and couldnt find anything.

put a cd in my stacker the other day (premium sound 6cd stacker) wen it loaded sounded like a whining noise, so I pressed eject and the cd wouldnt come out. it then said that the 6th disc bay had no cd in it at all.. so I held the eject button for 5 seconds to try eject all the cds and nothing would come out. it now constantly sounds like its trying to release a cd but nothing is coming out. I tried loading a new cd into the 6th spot and it ate that one also.. how do I get the cd's out??

I need to take my foot off for it to change gears, and if I use the squential then I have to change gear early as to avoid the shutter" I had the same problem as this just last week..I thought it was my custom tune that I had done. wen I took it bak to b chekd out, they found the fuel pump wasnt installed properly and that the fuel line was split. they changed this and the car runs awesome again.
