  1. Well done Mark, nice work. The Brembos look awesome!
  2. 49 degress!! fark!!!! My brothers car read 52 degrees about an hour ago and the highest hes seen it go to was 47!!
  3. Yeah leave the TC off and to control the wheelspin throw a pair of Mt's on...
  4. TBH, It was a reasonable fit. I didnt have to use much force at all? If I had cut the hose any shorther then it would not have fitted on either end, actually I thought the pipe was a bit short but I guess it worked out to be OK in the end? I got back from a spin and re-checked the hose fittings and to see if the surroundings were leaking but all seemed to be ok for the time being....
  5. No, it was cut a few mm less then the old pipe and you can see the difference in the before and after pics... cheers
  6. The pics shown are b4 the hose was cut.... We cut the new hose and it could barely fit on the fuel pump so if we cut it any further it would have been good for the recycle bin...
  7. Excellent just the info I was after... Thanks champ edit: lol, I added it in here for you
  8. I always use Mobil 8000.... I guess I better change the hose within a few months if it's gonna burst again... But yeah, The Radiator Hose only lasted me 3-4months...
  9. Hey guyz, Ok, update on my car: Call Autobarn first thing in the morning and I was rapt to find out they were open on a Public Holiday till 3:30pm!! So, my brother and I go and to get a z373 Fuel Filter. It was a straight forward change over and within 10 mintues we were off for a quick test drive but only to find out it was still holding back on Full boost!! We kept our cool and within seconds we started to work on the Fuel Pump and to our amusement this is what we dicvoer!!! A split hose on the walbro fuel pump!! Itec you were spot on! Now, we wernt happy to discover that a "Radiator overflow tank Hose was used" when "THEY" (%^^&&&) should have used a proper Fuel Hose!! It also looked like the Hose was too long hence the bent pipe above.... You can see the difference between using a proper Fuel hose compared to a Radiator (Mackay) Hose. Clamped the new hose on and off it went back to its location.. After fitting the Fuel Pump and the other bits and pieces back together, we crank up the car and "BINGO" in a flash she was firing wihtout any Hesitations! Trying not to get overly excited we both jump in the car and within seconds we were on the Freeway ...... Now the moment of truth, I give it and SHE RESPONDS! YAY:):) SHE YELLS and SCREAMS onto FULL BOOST....Oh the adrenalin was pumping again! We high five eachtoher and IT was all good again. Got home cleaned up the mess, had a shower and am now watching the cricket and enjoying the long weekend... All in all, I will STILL be taking my car to Spingy Performance in the morning to make sure its all cool on the Dyno but the MAIN point im trying to make here is that it goes to show and prove how important and helpful these Forums can be and if I hadnt posted up this topic I wouldnt be in this situation today!! It has saved me $$$ and the fact working on your own car gives me so much satisfaction.... Once again thanks to everyone that helped me though this dilemma. Over and out.. San.
  10. Exactly! Thanks Ghosti! Thanks for your help Matt. Ill take your advice and make sure I have under half tank of fuel. Yeah that's what I meant, (Again thank Matt). I only got the battery changed a few months back when I got my stage 2.5 kit so that's pretty much new.... Thanks to the ppl that stayed on topic and helped me out and definately made other ppl aware of the possible things that can go wrong with the symptons my car is having... cheers, San.
  11. Well, why not? Are we not allowed to share info on each other's pride and joy?
  12. I normally fill up from my local servo's and ALWAYS use the 98ron stuff.... I'll get springy to check that hose on the walbro pump aswell... Thanks for the feebback guyz.
  13. Ahhh yes, fark me! Why didnt I think of that!! The shops are all closed now so ill have to wait till Tuesday!! thanks heaps, will let you guyz know if this rectifies it or not.
  14. Hi guyz, My car picked up some issues on a recent cruise and would like to share my recent experiements I tried with my car.... Problem(s) Well, the car seems to be holding back on full boost (15-16psi) as if suffering from fuel starvation or something rather?? But then again, I do have the upgraded deka injectors and Walbro fuel pump so I dont think there should be an issue in this department?? It does not miss @ idle and it is otherwise smooth from the low to midrange. The second issue I have which I picked up on the same cruise was that the car seems to take longer (about 3-4seconds) to crank over but this only occurs after the car has been sitting for a while, but when I go to crank it again after freshly turning the car off then it start straight away? Dont know if this makes sense but yeah that's the second issue I have with my car! Diagnosing the car Checked and cleaned all hoses/piping and electronic connector's. All were intact! Did the boost solenoid maintenane Replaced the spark plugs with the common NGK Iridiums BKR6EIX which are already gapped to .80mm Replaced Coil's with my cousin's car I did notice a difference after changing the plugs (ever so slightly) but the issue was still there so I exchanged coils with my cousin (XXRLNT) however the holdback was still there and I was like WTF!!!!!!!! Any help will be appreciated.. All in all, I do have the car booked @ Springy Performance first thing on Tuesday so I will let you guyz know what the promblem was....
