  1. Okay interesting, who makes a decent 18 inch tyre in 255(or 265)/40/18 though.. And what are they worth on top of the 245s?? Cheers!
  2. If you have ADR compliance your fine. ← Okay thanks guys, So does the APS kit come with a certificate or something stating this so that there is no troubles with legalities.. Thanks! Sound very tempting for the F6, but an edit would change this anyway, but as a kit, would just like to know what my options are..
  3. hey guys, can yous give me a little more info on this ADR compliance, is this just for emissions testing, and what exactly is it, and does it cost extra, how does this differ from a full engineers report? Are these kits 100% legal and can the car still get defected, then I have to prove to (Regency in Adelaide, SA) that my car is still compliant. Thanks guys, just a little more info would be great!

Okay not bad, prob the quickest standard holdens anyway any news from the HSV versions.. Pm me once any info from these mags is available! Cheers!
  6. hi Zap, Just noticed your pic at the bottom of your post! Nice. Any more of the beast at track day to share. Pm me! I have a few from my day, but none with that much smoke!
  7. That sucks mate, feel sorry for ya.
  8. Actually the Pilot Sport 2's have a similar tread pattern to the Pilot Preceda 2's. The diagonal tread pattern is the Pilot Sport 1 which is now discontinued. I have Pilot Preceda 2 on my car, and I have absolutely no problem in the wet. The car just sticks and puts its power down, even better than the more expensive Pirelli P Zero Nero's I had. ← Hey mate, can you post a pic of the tyre on the T showing tread? Not sure whether to go with these for my next tyres, or stick to the Sports Maxx's. They are exactly the same price,(I got quoted 380 ea) I just couldnt get em in when I needed em a few months back. And im not sure what the sports Maxxs are like on the rear yet. The Sp9000s dont like 550nm from 2000 rpm!

That would make our older T's with the GT35/40 700plus horsie snail worth so much more.. Do it!

I don't think you can quote in ECE, Expensive Daewoo now use DIN also. ← Hey Mate, Funny you should say that. Because I am looking at a brand new Ve Late model camira brochure (Hard copy) and it says the SS has 270kw* and the * means that the maximum figures are quoted as per ECE regulations. I have however just visited the hsv web site, and their 307kw is done using the DIN figure.. http://www.hsv.com.au/index_eseries.asp then click on the GTS pic, then specs then the performance.. IS holden's performance brand trying to "get more power" just by quoting in DIN?? Busted! Let us know what ya all think..

Lets hope its true but I doubt it.. However, hopefully FPV do something to tweak the F6's, the XRT got an extra 5 kw and 30nm in Ba-Bf, and the F6's stayed the same so I think its the F6s turn for an extra 5kw and 30nm... The V8s are quite a fair margin behind the E series now too, and coz ford quote their figures in DIN, it looks even worse on paper for them as they now need to do ECE, maybe they will just keep the 290, but quote in ECE now instead of DIN. Something ford would do anyway, that way they wouldnt have to change the stickers on the bulges, and on the air intakes inside the engine bay..
  12. Hi, I am running the Sports Maxxs by Dunlop (245/40/18 on the F6), and despite them being slightly quieter than the 9000s, they are still fairly noticeable noise wise. However, they out grip the 9000s in all weather conditions so im happy, and they were only 380 a piece instead of 480! I have been told that the V103s are an excellent tyre but were a little lower in the treadwear rating which turned me away, 180 vs 240 for the Sports Maxxs, And as I drive mine daily, and do approx 20000 - 23000 km per year, it does get costly for good tyres. I only got 14000 out of my rears 9000s, must have been coz of the track day.. At the time of purchasing mine, I wanted to try the Michelin Pilot Preceda 2's, however Michelin would not ship them to SA as they wanted to clear old stocks of the PP1's, and as the 2's were obvioudly much better than the 1's, I went dunlops. The Michelins are meant to be a great tyre also, and are comparable to the Pilot Sports 2's, which are over $700.00 a piece, so may be worth looking at.. Hope I have helped..
  13. Yeah mate good time! Street fuel, is that 91/95/98, and I take it with no additives..
  14. Yep, im still happy!! But wouldnt mind a fang in a new E Series R8..
  15. Can ford install an after market ford alarm to the T? And if so what are they worth.. Im not reccommending them just curious, iv always wanted more from the F6 alarm, but cant add anything to it..

So lets clear up a few things then.. Please only police answer and if I could be directed to a Police web page or something stating current laws that would be great! Firstly, Im in SA. What is the real deal with "Driving" Lights? And also DVD Players in the rear head rests? And Blow off valves? And dangling things from revision morror? Im told all are illegal but soo many people are on the road doing these illegal things, not including me though!.. Is there just a place where I can get correct info on a regular basis! Cheers!
  17. Yeah that and the fact that warmer tyres on a warmer road, provide more traction. Scotty ← Will be interesting to put my G Tech into practice and see actual performance difference.. mmm. Might go for a lap now..
  18. I did read that article too. But all I know is that on 35 plus degree days, in first off of the clutch, the phoon struggles to spin the wheels.. with weather like it is now.. Its all over the road. So im guessing that theres a few kws in it somewhere.. Maybe it was coz my car was newer in summer and had less ks on her? Anyways..
  19. And how much was that extra over BP ultimate?? Farrk!

Didnt someone from here say that the cat is different for euro 3 compliance, and I think the cam is slightly different also.. Or is that just for the F6s??
  21. A bloke at Uni had DEFCTME On a mad Lexus, and guess what happened next.. Yep..
  22. I have an F6 mate, 22y/o, rating 2, hopefully rating 1 in 2 months.. And paid just under 1800 for my first year, I was told this will decrease dramatically (near the $500 mark) in my second year. Im 50% driver, but the policy is based just one me. Just Cars. Great company and cant recommend them enough!
  23. Excellent thread guys, one of the best iv seen in a while!
  24. Okay fair enough, I apologise for the interigation, but many of us here have had our badges ripped off and arent happy! As you could imagine! As they are welded on, I would say that the F6 front ones would come with the front mesh (which I was quoted $400.00 for the top part alone!) But Im really not 100% on that. Is there a way to check the part no. with ford/fpv?
  25. Have you got the link to the item..
