YCL - I've found that those people that find cricket boring fall into one or more of the categories below: a) Lack the intelligence needed to understand the game and its intricacies. b) Are female (no offence ladies just stating a fact) c) Are from the the USA where any game that lasts more than an hour is too long. d) Don't like sport in general (ie nerds) e) Prefer the company of people of the same sex. Which one(s) are you?? : Which one(s) are you?? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Your a funny cunners arent you. So lets have a look at your 'categories'. a) Exactly how much intelligence do feel is required to fully comprehend the nuances of a game where a bloke in pajamas throws (but not chucks) a ball at another bloke with a dead tree in his hands, whilst a bunch of other guys in pajama's stand about in a surrounding paddock SMSing the bimbos they met at a bar last night? [COLOR=red] Throwing is a completely different action than bowling - even non-believers know that...how is a dead tree any different than a dead pig skin (wogball) or sheep guts (tennis)... Pyjamas are the one day game (which IMHO is boring) test match cricket is played in completely white attire (loose fitting and white for practical reasons) b) Just shows that over half the worlds population hates cricket.... Yeah - the half with no testes... you?? c) Been there and will have to correct you again. They simply feel that any game that does not require full body armor is for poofs. And before you start....no some kneepads, mittens and a sun hat do not amount to body armor. Yanks are wierd - we all know that!! d) I hate cricket, but I like wogball, tennis, all motor sports, and any sport involving scantily clad women (gymnastics, jelly wrestling, beach volley ball, synchronised swimming). Combined with the fact that I don't work in IT or have a PDA....rules out 'D' So close to the perfect comeback... Synchronised swimming has given you away my friend - you are most certainly a nerd!! e) Not quite, in fact I am going out with a few mates tonight to have a few cleansing ales, but I also enjoy the company of women, I am happily married and still have time for 6 or 7 girlfriends so I think the correct answer, Eddy is... Elton John was married to a woman - I rest my case... f) A person who is quick witted and socially competent, …..and as a result does not enjoy spending several days in solitude watching a monotonous slow paced game, where even if you drift out of consciousness for a few hours when you awake the game looks exactly as it was ....yesterday. Anyone who cannot see that Test cricket is the ultimate test of a sportsmans physical AND mental strength has never played the game. Monotonous and slow moving game = soccer (football, wogball)... how can a sport end in a nil all draw and be considered entertaining?? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Responses in RED.... and yes I am a funny Cunners!!!!- The Ashes

I don't think they have a hope in hell of winning the series.... I concede the Poms are a lot better side than those of the past 10-12 years but do they have the mental strength to go with the Aussies - Me not think so.... Punters have spoken with Oz at $1.80 to win the first test and England at about $5. The Warne factor is huge IMHO.... looking forward to it!! Opinions?? Maybe we could have a poll?? How does this get created?- I Just Got Engaged
NO - Im not a Pom but Trina is!!!! Its her only flaw!!- Blowns Wosrt Nighmare
Holy that's some serious damage and must have been quite an impact... good to hear you're ok with only minor injuries - you can always replace the T but not your health... Did everything happen in slow motion?? I remember when I slid over a median stip (in my teenage years!!) and the whole thing was in ultra slow motion - a really wierd feeling... Just goes to show how easlily accidents can happen... Again - glad to hear u are ok...- I Just Got Engaged
OK... as promised heres the video of the proposal.... The ring was made of alfoil hence Trina saying 'What the *beep* is that' .... anyway Here it is: The Proposal Video - WARNING 20Mb This is the shortened/edited version... Made me laugh when I first saw it - Trina is in such a state of panic and excitement that she doesn't know how to react or speak or anything - haha!!!- Hearts In The Right Place, But Needs Direction
Hey Dingah, I now have the Snorkel (picked it up for free from performance shop as they were chucking them out !)... So all I need now is the 100mm plumbing tube is that correct?? Is there anything else I may need?? Did you use any type of sealant??? I'm not the most handy man in the world and I've read the 56mainline thread but just need some re-assurance before I go butchering the airbox!!- I Just Got Engaged
Only a few days really but because of the time difference I wasn't getting much sleep over the weekend!! It was all worth it though...- I Just Got Engaged
I sent a few of my close friends a description of how it all went down last night and some of them must have forwarded onto their friends!! I'm getting heaps of e-mails from people I don't even know!! (mostly women saying that they wish their partner had of done/do something like I did) This must be my 5 minutes of fame.... and I'm gonna bask in it for as long as I can!!! By the way she said YES... forgot to mention that in my post... I spoke to her right after it all happened. Will post the video when it comes through... should be priceless!!- I Just Got Engaged
Thanks for all your kind words guys... Heres another picture of Trina - this is with the DJ (DJ Chunky Boy Paul!) who was in on the plan!!! I'm getting lots of good feedback from friends and family on how different (in a good way) the proposal was. I can't wait to see the video!!- I Just Got Engaged
Cheers Steve, Kato and V8 FRD. Yeah didn't really think of that haha She will be expecting grand gestures from now on!!! Oh well....- I Just Got Engaged
Its a very long story but I'll try to keep it as brief as possible - which will be hard! My long time Girlfriend (Trina) is over visiting her rellies in the UK and they decided to go to Gran Canaria (Spain)... Well anyway I knew that she's be at a certian nightspot last night and arranged with the nightclub owner and a local photographer to organise a very unique proposal. The DJ at the club played 'our song' and then as part of a spot quiz for drink vouchers asked the crowd who sang it.. Of course Trina put her hand up and he picked her and she answered correctly... The DJ then got her up on stage and put the spotlight on her saying he had a very important message from Australia to read out (a message I asked him to read - soppy stuff that I won't go into)... all the while I was listening via a phone linkup... after he read out the message he asked the crowd to be quiet (they were going ballistic!!) and then said that someone else would like to speak - ME!!! He put the phone through the clubs sound system and I asked her to marry me... crowd went berserk... her and her family cried etc etc.... I also arranged for champagne, flowers and a temporary ring and got a photographer to video the whole event.... I will post when he sends it through!!! I'm just so stoked (and a little proud of myself too ) and just wanted to share with everyone. Heres a photo of my wife to be Trina and her sisters and brother in law (shes second from left in the greenish top) Jason- Redline Brand Air Cleaners - Any Good?
Go here for topic on how to get a cheap K&N (for about $90) I bought it online and it was delivered inside 10 days.... Cheap K&N Filter- Centre Muffler Removal: Sound, Legality & Results
I haven't got an audio file but I can tell you (like everyone else who's done this mod) that the sound is 100 times better than stock without being over the top or droney. I was concerned about it being too load but its just right... It just makes the car sound a lot 'beefier' and it has a slight burble at idle and when backing off the right foot. :uziman: So many people can't be wrong - by the way I have the 2 1/2" mandrel bent with hotdogs To anyone who is thinking about doing this mod - you wont regret it!!- State Of Origin III
Oh god, Western Australians... It's VFL matie, invented in Victoria <{POST_SNAPBACK}> AFL is the name of the competition last time I checked and teams from QLD, NSW and SA are involved.. VFL is ancient history What national sporting teams do the NT have these days?? But you're probably and EX-pat Victorian chasing the warmer weather aren't you!! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Only reason Western Austrailians follow the VFL is because they get Victorian TV. Victorian? no. moved up here from Kal. Oh Sure, big Wegals fan now aren't we? Where were you the last 5 years? And how dare you belittle the NT. We're the World Beer drinking champions. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Sixfan - Been an eagles fan (and member) since inception - 1987... even got a signed team poster from 87!! though good times and bad I've been there!!! Your'e originally from Kal - that explains everything I take it that you're a dockers fan - or worse you go for a vic team - (most likely) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Ah, Tiz but in Jest! I was born in the Blue Mountains NSW and moved all over Australia (never lived in Vic though!) but 6 years in WA and I still couldn't get into the VFL. State of Origin, I Love it! Specially when the good guys win! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> advocatus diaboli - I should have known!!!- State Of Origin III

Rugby League - that's the game where one thug gets the ball, runs straight into the opposing thug and repeats the process... over and over and over again. Sorry guys but its such a boring game to watch. Watched it last night (was on late here in WA) and the commentators were crapping on how it was the best first 10 minutes in recent memory?? What the?? Nothing happened... run, tackle, run, tackle... etc Not half as skilfull, tactical or exciting as AFL!! Have I stirred a hornets nest here?? Me thinks so!!!- Favourite All Time Movie
In no order - The 6th Sense - Shawshank Redemption - Forrest Gump - Kevin and Perry go large - Green Mile - Seven - Austin Powers movies (anything with Mike Myers) I could go on.....- What Do You Think Of My Car
Great colour mate and love the rims.... I agree with previous posters on the ride height... too many speed bumps near me to be practical but it looks good and if you can get away with it where you live - why not!! A nice dark tint would finish it off...- What's Your Next Car Gonna Be?
If I had access to the funds required - BMW M5 (without a doubt) In reality - probably a second hand GT-P....- Cheap K&n Filter
Guys - I received the filter and it was well packaged and delivery was quicker thgan I expected. Total on my visa card was $AUD90.61... A good $30-40 cheaper than you get in OZ.- Edit Tuners Perth?
PM JORDAK.... he knows a good guy in Perth that did his edit. Went for a short ride in Jordaks purple beast the other day and was impressed...- P Platers Driving Xr6 Turbos
You Eastern States people need to get over to WA and snap up some property!! Me and the missus have 2 places close to the city.. 3x1 villa (investment property) 15 minutes from the city and our place - 3x2 house 10 minutes from the city and we bought them both for the combined price of just 435k... granted this was a few years ago and they're worth a bit more now but compared to the prices you guys are paying in the East for similar its a pittance. We over here in WA can't comprehend how you guys can afford the mortgages?? Do the banks have different lending criterias over there?? Also - and I know I'll get some stick for this, but I just can't believe some of you young blokes are buying expensive cars instead of ploughing the money into something that will make you money rather than the money pits that are cars. My investments have always come before cars... when you have built up some capital then treat yourself.... My 2c worth only - The Ashes
