As requested by Cunners.

Me? I'm backing Australia by a small margin.

I agree LP,

I hope we do not wipe the floor with them as it is not good for the sport to beat everyone by a big margin.

Have you heard of that new ceiling paint that go's on pink but then dries white? :stirthepot:

Thus making it even more interesting to watch than normal paint drying which is still more entertaining than a cricket match. :tease:

YCL - I've found that those people that find cricket boring fall into one or more of the categories below:

a) Lack the intelligence needed to understand the game and its intricacies.

b) Are female (no offence ladies just stating a fact)

c) Are from the the USA where any game that lasts more than an hour is too long.

d) Don't like sport in general (ie nerds)

e) Prefer the company of people of the same sex.

Which one(s) are you?? :stirthepot:

The Aussies will spank them.

They will dominate the first session of the first day and not look back.

Your a funny cunners arent you.

So lets have a look at your 'categories'.

a) Exactly how much intelligence do feel is required to fully comprehend the nuances of a game where a bloke in pajamas throws (but not chucks) a ball at another bloke with a dead tree in his hands, whilst a bunch of other guys in pajama's stand about in a surrounding paddock SMSing the bimbos they met at a bar last night?

b) Just shows that over half the worlds population hates cricket.... :tease:

c) Been there and will have to correct you again. They simply feel that any game that does not require full body armor is for poofs. And before you start....no some kneepads, mittens and a sun hat do not amount to body armor. :ta:

d) I hate cricket, but I like wogball, tennis, all motor sports, and any sport involving scantily clad women (gymnastics, jelly wrestling, beach volley ball, synchronised swimming). Combined with the fact that I don't work in IT or have a PDA....rules out 'D'

e) Not quite, in fact I am going out with a few mates tonight to have a few cleansing ales, but I also enjoy the company of women, I am happily married and still have time for 6 or 7 girlfriends so I think the correct answer, Eddy is...

f) A person who is quick witted and socially competent, …..and as a result does not enjoy spending several days in solitude watching a monotonous slow paced game, where even if you drift out of consciousness for a few hours when you awake the game looks exactly as it was ....yesterday. :tease:

Good points Cunners, in my experience I have found:

1/Most people don't even THINK of the tactics and intricacies of Cricket, either that or they think that One-Day is teh 'real' game. Test matches are war with picket fences.

2/Most women I know who are into cricket are A/Very knowlegable and B/Hotties :ta:

3/Who cares about the Yanks, god, they watch Gridiron and a 'game' last for 5 hours, even though they only play for 1. :tease:

4/True.

5/Well, YCL does have a tendency to Hoff :tease: so you COULD be onto something Cunners

[COLOR=red] Throwing is a completely different action than bowling - even non-believers know that...how is a dead tree any different than a dead pig skin (wogball) or sheep guts (tennis)... Pyjamas are the one day game (which IMHO is boring) test match cricket is played in completely white attire (loose fitting and white for practical reasons)

b) Just shows that over half the worlds population hates cricket.... :stirthepot:

Yeah - the half with no testes... you??

c) Been there and will have to correct you again. They simply feel that any game that does not require full body armor is for poofs. And before you start....no some kneepads, mittens and a sun hat do not amount to body armor. :ta:

Yanks are wierd - we all know that!!

d) I hate cricket, but I like wogball, tennis, all motor sports, and any sport involving scantily clad women (gymnastics, jelly wrestling, beach volley ball, synchronised swimming). Combined with the fact that I don't work in IT or have a PDA....rules out 'D'

So close to the perfect comeback... :tease: Synchronised swimming has given you away my friend - you are most certainly a nerd!!

e) Not quite, in fact I am going out with a few mates tonight to have a few cleansing ales, but I also enjoy the company of women, I am happily married and still have time for 6 or 7 girlfriends so I think the correct answer, Eddy is...

Elton John was married to a woman - I rest my case... :tease:

f) A person who is quick witted and socially competent, …..and as a result does not enjoy spending several days in solitude watching a monotonous slow paced game, where even if you drift out of consciousness for a few hours when you awake the game looks exactly as it was ....yesterday.

Anyone who cannot see that Test cricket is the ultimate test of a sportsmans physical AND mental strength has never played the game. Monotonous and slow moving game = soccer (football, wogball)... how can a sport end in a nil all draw and be considered entertaining??

Responses in RED.... and yes I am a funny Cunners!!!!
