So I was looking up what oils they recommend as a mate of mine has said its the castrol 10/60 R .... looks like hes right.......... strange

What?? Hmm, ok we will check on Monday in regards to this. Spoke to louie and he said it was a wastegate problem he was having hence the large discrepancy between D+T and us. To be honest, we didn't check the IT for each car , just assumed that plugged into the inlet tract would be right. Anyways, It was a huge difference compared to the last time we saw the car here for a dyno shootout and Simon from Extreme Ford Tuning should be congratulated for his tuning efforts. For those that saw the car at the PPCC day, Simon had said the tune in the car was not right but someone's son insisted it was going on the dyno anyway... The F6 in question that had a waste gate issue a few weeks ago when it was run at a previous shootout you guys held and I asked them not to run it.. lol, didn't realise it was you behind me. Car's feeling pretty good now, instant wheel spin in 2nd and 3rd now Gotta get the tune sorted over the next week or 2 and install a set of valve springs too. It's amazing to see how much power these cars are making with minimal modifications; good tune, bigger injectors, good front mount intercooler and a decent dump pipe & cat are seeing these cars push 400rwhp effortlessly. All the while retaining stock emmissions, driveability and keeping the police off your case. Shame I missed ya, would have been good to catchup and say hello. Hopefully will see you at another venue. Congrats on the work of the F6's. Some great results there! that was my new Black F6 full of kids and family behind u. I havent changed the dump pipe ect yet on these cars, only the cats. I got my misses XR6T into the 12's with factoory zorst juts a cat. F6's will go 400 + with just the cat aswell (3inch). Mines got that now... But not for long... Time to start the playing.

doesnt make any sence mate. The cars a 400 to 420 rwhp car in its current form, no more that's for sure

Ok, obviously something wasnt correct for the reading that was given, Its not really hyperdrives fault as they would have had a hectic day to get everyones cars out of the way. YTRY4's car ran 397 rwhp only an hour or so before, Its a stock besides cat, injectors, and air filter and xtreme tune. That tune in 3 other cars all have run 400 + rwhp. I wish I could have been there for the event but I had prior arangements. Either way, theres no need for a b**ch fight. The cars got minor mods and makes good power for what it is, no intercoooler changes ect and the car hasnt even been dyno tuned yet, I put that tune into the car lastnight and did a quick boost and wide band test and he left. Well done Lou and everyone else that went and had a good time. Looking forward to runing my F6 at the next dyno comp. Jason, nice blacks marks on the road infront of me lol when I was going to say hi to everyone on my way to yanchep for lunch with the family, car looks good.

This thing sounds awesome, is there a link to its biuld up anywhere or anyone know whats done to it? Is this the one runing the 3 speed auto?

had a bit of a "play" with a GTR Skyline today.... F6 won on both times but oin the second one I tried to leave the lights with some revs on baord... car came on boost instantly...... clutch didnt like it.. slipped and smelt like crap for hours. Still won but :D nice work..... bet the GTR was shocked he was very shocked but very sporting about it... my misses put the window down and he yelled HOLY F..K... and the gave me the thumbs up shaking his head lol

Well its been a week since I picked up the new toy... I mean R&D Work Tool. (misses was looking at screen) I MEAN TOY !!!! and what can I say, done 1000 kms now and its just amazing. I instaled the injectors and tuned it first night I had it. Tomorrow is hiflow cat amd air filter and retune.. Then Dyno... Drive for a week or 2 then its time to get serious :D

oh yes of coure, more power..... silly me............................ crazy... .. .. . crazy stuff............ No it's not quite like that. I could easily bolt on a larger turbo, and take power from 1000 to 1250HP, as Simon had with his prototype motor. The downside to that approach is that I'd lose a lot of drivability, have about 700-1000 revs more lag, and put even more strain on the drivetrain. The whole project objective is about high power (nominally 1000HP), and with a wide usable power band, rather than a peaky narrow power band drag car. Brian Sounds awesome bro, Simon Certainly knows his stuff, I have all the respect in the world for him and his busines. Your a lucky man to have such a wild beast. I bet its one wild ride.

that's the problem, the minute you ad dthe amount of torque we now have down low the car cant be started at the same point. but the cars are making ALOT more pull from 2000 up. Its not hard to do with a manual, only really the autos Hi, So is it a case of (and I don't know I don't tune cars....) if you tune for greater boost at lower RPM, with the intention of producing more power in the lower part of the RPM range (and I get your point about dyno runs and WOT etc. etc.) do you sacrifice top end power? I guess what I'm asking is (and not very well ) is if you bring boost on later do you produce a higher rwkw total as compared with bringing boost on lower and producing greater rwkw's at low RPM, but maybe less overall rwkw's. Regards, Um no.. If I understand your question correctly. Making it make good power down low wont sacrifice power.

Not sure I fully understand your explanation but thanks anyway. So how do you establish what power levels are being achieved @say 2000 to 2500 rpm ? do you have other graphs that provide this info? What purpose would that serve? I've installed bigger injectors to make more power, not for cosmetic purposes. the purpose it would serve would be to do a correct base power with changes to prove a products worth it should be done on the same dyno in the same shoot out mode with the same injectors and everything else.. Other wise its just not really the same is it

Dyno Dynamics dyno's are Dyno Dynamic dyno's, right? I don't own one, so I'm not qualified to comment on the different shootout modes. But I will add this - I've seen bugger all difference in power between shootout and non shootout mode with my car. The power runs weren't planned - I just stopped by to see a mate and he wanted to run the car up. What is relevant is the 3 power runs done in succession between the stock boost, 10psi boost and 12psi boost programs, within 15 minutes of each other, allowing 4 minutes between runs to reflash the PCM. Great results IMO. So u changed the injectors back? And there is a difference in the shoot out mode from 6 to 6F, try it.. No they dont all read the same .. all though they should lol

so now your using a different dyno? How did you run it stock with injectors installed? did you remove them? Its still the wrong shoot out mode to dude, I think it should be 6F Did u use this dyno for how the car was stock initially? If so that's a nice healthy increase that's for sure well done

I thought a "proper" run in consisted of a burnout of some sort. lol. No I did the usual run in stuff and will continue to do so. It was literally 2 quick pulls to 5600 rpm.
