that's a very nice looking intercooler in deed well done mate. Once you add the intake pipe to the turbo like the G man (Geea) you will be B L O W E N away with the performance increase

That's a good question, I was wondering the same myself. Especially so if you decide to buy the matching 4" SMB dump pipe too! By the time you've done the centre muffler replacement too, you'll have spent in the order of $1500!! I get them fitted for 200.00 to the original system.

1= SMB 4 inch , Its by far the best ive seen and flow tested. 2= APS Cat. 3= Defilipo Gen III large body cat. Cant go past the SMB

Ill get you some next week before I strip it off for the next tests mate. Also for those interested that price on SMB's web site for the cat of 382.00 is PLUS tax..

the size of the system isnt the problem, im one of a few guys making well into the 300 rwkw mark with STOCK exhaust. If they flowed the stock cat @350 cfm and there big cat at 550 or 560 then on my bench there modded one would flow 490 odd as there figure on the stock one is some 50 cfm more then on mine. The SMB one flows 660 on mine. On theres it would be over 700........

also if you have a look at what they are quoting in there flow figures they say by no means are they in relaition to the standard flow rates. I use a flow bench designed for flow testing carbies and cylinder heads. Its worth well over 30k and is one of the most accurate flow testing devices in the country. I went through the entire exhaust system from front to back and flowed it. You cant get much better then that. If you wanted the best you would use the dump pipe aswell, other wise you could get it modified to fit without using it. Factory cat on our bench flows 300 cfm SMB on our bench flows 660 The factory exhaust flows flows 560. Cats the restriction.

.... This is really hard to type out but ill try again. If you re read my first quote posts you will see where I stipulate that the factory exhaust flows 560 cfm, why would you put a cat in that will restrict this?? an open bit of 3 inch pipe flows over 660 cfm.. so even if you reduce the 4 inch smb unit down the 3 inch will still out flow it. Its not a direct replacement but any zorst shop worth 2 cents will have no problem adapting it to your original system.

What was the cost to upgrade your Cat? I am at 245atw and have run out of puff so will probably need to change mine. the best ive seen and tested is the SMB option, they are around the 400.00 mark

yep I have a stock exhaust also @340 rwkw's but I have a good cat.

.......... What cat... what flow???? what core?????? Its not that smple.... Hence why I posted the above reply... You need to be more specific. If it flows 460 cfm then it will support 300 rwkw's.

Hope it helps Now as for the power level of the stock cat I wouldnt really put a figure on it, I would say but the more restiction in the cat the less boost it will make and shorter period of time it will make it for.

Well my Wifes T ran a 12.92 @ 112 mph with a 2.5 60 ft with 262 rwkw's.... I cant see how he would do a 12.2 with that mph and with that 60 that you run.. soz adam bud... But it just doesnt quite seem right.

mate the SMB product is a good choice, you will need to be careful of the injectors though as what you have listed will definalty make them work hard

well heres a start. FIrst step. Stage I Tune and Thermostat, (supplied in my kit along with new clamps for bottom of turbo) 255 to 260 rwkw, safe A/F's. Stage II Added to the above of stage I BMC filter, Hiflow cat, Injectors. 300 RWKW's. Can also add a BOV. Now this kit comes with 2 vairiations, If you planing on going higher in the power then the 300rwkw you need to order it with the other optioned Dump pipe and cat. With the Higher flowing cat and Dump you will see over 330 rwkw with the adition of the latest mod ive been working on. Stage III will be done before the end of August. Details will be listed and should make over 400 RWKW. With this will also have to be some form of flywheel change and clutch disk upgrade. Hope that helps you some Also about to start some testing on some of the well knowen brands of exhaust to see if they are really going to be of any benifit on the F6.

hrmmmmm... seems I have found the limits to the stock F6 clutch... anything over 800 nm @ the tyres will cause it to slip about 30 percent in any gear taller then 3rd.... Looks like its going to need some better plates and maybe a new hat. Oh well.... Its hung in there good soo far lol
