  1. Finally convinced someone here to tune the thing in the next two weeks... We'll see how it ( if ) it pans out.. Then it may just be off to get some E85 loving from some Ford tuner guy here is WA Also got around to fitting up the 324mm custom brake coversion (finally) Brake conversion consists of: GTR 324mm x 30mm rotors (went with DBA 4000's, redrilled).. Increased offset (58mm Vs 45mm) sets the caliper back nicely and there's no need for those chunky 25mm spacers used with Brembo / 3000GT caliper conversions. Just needs 3-4mm ground from the lower control arm to make it snug.. Nissan R33 gts-t 4 pot calipers Custom fab brackets - just need cutting Here is the new rotor V stock Caliper differences Brackets (this is a pik of a very similar set to what I need - mine need three top 'holes' to be near on in a perfect line.) Will CAD up some after I get the dummy set 100% Install - dummy fit. I will grind off 'Nissan' and paint them up in the obligatory VHT red & a clear coat. Also will run a 4mm spacer (which I've been running since I bought it) to give a bit of breathing room between rim / caliper. It fits at a push, but I don't need to push.. Some new brake lines and bingo - cheap a$$ 324mm 4 pot conversion...
  2. You will get p4wned.. Not for any reason other than you will Roger the launch under pressure. Make it a "best of three" to be fair.. you have 270rwkw, but who tuned it? I've had 270rwkw and run 13.3 @ 109 and then I got 270rwkw and ran 12.3 @ 115 Same tyres, different tuner. Good luck and glad you're taking it to the track
  3. Not sure what Lb's are but here it is
  4. 260 / 260 with 10.5 of lift.. Geez, will look at the boost / rpm when I get a minute, probably 4200 or so? I actually haven't done a 4th gear run on the road in it. This was the first power run in anger on this turbo in 4th (I've done some 3rd gear and it pulls solidly from 3k rpm. Oops, meant to say it holds boost nice from 25psi, not holds 25psi Bit more playing with the ebc to get it to hold... Here's the kicker - check the AFR's! There's power there for the taking with a tune
  5. Dyno today - Shoot 4F so no fudging the figures.. 20L BP98 + 5L tolly + 5L Hybrid Jungle Juice (Sunoco 106) Holds 25psi boost nicely, torque is good and power figure left me scratching my head as to how good it was.. Check the air & intake temps..
  6. Three people dead after car hits pole 9 News Three young people have died after their car struck a power pole in Sydney's west, police say. A male passenger was killed instantly while the male P-plate driver and a woman in the back seat died in hospital following the smash at Colyton on Sunday. Police say their XR6 turbo Ford Falcon left the Great Western Highway about 3.15am (AEDT) and crashed into a power pole. A third young female passenger sustained serious leg injuries, while another escaped unscathed. All are believed to be aged in their late teens or early 20s. The eastbound lanes of the highway are closed between Sydney Street and Bennett Road, but are expected to reopen shortly.
  7. Was that a dummy assembley Spiko? Just noticed the dry studs - lack of moly lube or oil on the threads prior to them being locked down?? The oil can doesn't move in the sequence of shots so assume that was used to squirt the crank journals in one hit prior to laying the caps on.. Unless they got cleaned down after every washer & nut was torqued up? Either way - your main caps scream *&%@ OFF.. Keep the updates coming, great watching people doing things big...
  8. Cheating, simply. Modified exhaust ( 2 cats instead of 4 ) and different intercooler pipes..
  9. And my ex uncle has one... pity the little evo is still quicker than him anywhere he's been (I don't like him al the much )
  10. Hiro, if that cars runs in targa events, he's a naguhty boy Already got his wrist slapped and disqualified from Targa West for it..... But yeah, PIX!.
  11. Keep an eye on it Attention to detail is nothing short of exquisit, level of commitment - unquestionable. AMS 1000WHP GT-R build....lots of pics - Mitsubishi Lancer Register Forum Sneak peak
  12. All good! Firstly: Quick snap of it Vs my E3 turb Went for a quick drive, the verdict: Perfect Match More progressive and linear power delivery than the E3 turbo. ZERO loss of power down low - bit more intake noise (I like that) E3 turbo is: nothing nothing, bang everything, nothing The 68HTA is: little bit, more more more more more, revlimit No tune - 20psi Dyno looks like being booked for Monday - Running it up on the Tomei ECU then tuning it with the Haltech.... Numbers to come once I get some!..
  13. Billet goodness..... 34mm flapper & 15psi actuator..
  14. Is anyone going this Friday?? Adrian - want to line the boat up against the buzz box?? Howling head wind though..
  15. This is a topic on roll on's, not 1/4 mile. 10 second manuals? I can't help it if people buy dyno numbers...
  16. Manual - end of story. Anyone who knows how to drive a car will stomp an auto everytime. Problem is, the majority of those who own a manual think the revlimt is a good place to change gears combined with the complete lack of decent tuners outside WA Seriously - where else would a topic like this go............
  17. December 11 Fast Friday - anyone coming? Dusting the cobwebs of the rice burner...
  18. Remeber your nic too.. Nice F6. Update.......... Billet Turbo - coming fc_uk off injectrs - coming 25psi + E85 - coming
  19. I imported my car from JP myself.. First thing to do - apply to DOTARS to see if it can be imported - and under what type of rule. Apply for importation (Here's the kicker, you have to buy the car and provide proof of purchase before application can be submitted ) Road reg - find a compliancer (there's a list of compliancers, and the cars they do)$9,900 for compliance? Not sure on the car, but EVO's are ~$6k. Shipping, that link seems high.. I went RORO (roll on roll off) for $1000 or so.. I can hook you up with a family friend who can do the minor paperwork, stamp duty (% of value) GST (10% of cost) and all that other puss (wharf fees etc) (You need a Freight forwarder) also fumigation if it's dirty.. Also need someone with an EPA license to degass the A/C (or get it degassed in the UK) (I have a contact) or else it will cost you $4k on the wharf. Some traps for new player - the blood money they want for those cars?? Here's a basic list of how -to's.. How to Import a car into Australia | eHow.com
  20. Spiko ran his 4spd auto to a 10.44 before throwing the tranny in the bin.. (back in 2005) A million snails lost their homes to build that turbo.....
  21. I wasn't going to name names.... but yes, seeing as you brought it up. The crim that built your car lol.
  22. Nice work Spiko.. haven't heard much from you since your last night 'discussion' with a certain member who may or may not be in jail right now.! Suspension setup? Weight reduction? IMO ~ 430rwkw would be ample.. Good luck
  23. Nope, Melbourne car. Well maybe if you had a head on at the kind of speed that driver did, yours might... No curatin airbags in that car though. Dollars can buy you dyno figures but that aint gonna increase your ability ...
  24. . Not sure if someone on here was the owner I only hope there were no passengers...
