No Bolts = No Boost
If I took it to Ford I would have been , but I have learned my lesson. I will NEVER have them touch my car again if I can possibly avoid it. They don't deserve my money.

No Bolts = No Boost
Drove the phoon from Brisbane to Byron and back on Saturday. All went well till I got her back to Brisbane and found she had no boost pressure at all. All was well when I left Byron but when I got off the freeway and off cruise control I noticed she had no 'go' in her. Took her to the shop today to find she has lost 2 of the 4 bolts that secure the turbo the the manifold, and lost the clip off the waste gate actuator arm. No one other than Ford dealers have ever touched the turbo itself Anyone else had these bolts fall out of their T??

4" Cat & Dump Pipe
I went for the SMB dump pipe and cat and picked up 41rwkw running the same (15lbs) boost level. Even had the dump HPC Extreme coated to help keep down the under bonnet temps. There are a heap of alternatives for making rwhp, the SMB dump/cat combo are just one and imo a bloody good one when you look at the gain I achieved for $1000.00 - plus coating.

Exhaust
If you don't want to mod anything except the exhaust save your money because unless you edit/piggyback you won't see any real gain in an exhaust mod alone.

I Set A New Personal Best Today
8100 with no burnouts! Impressive!!! I've gotten 20,000 our of my 9000's with a track day and too many burnouts to count, and 315rwkw!!

A-pillar Twin Pods And Guages Question.
Are the SS induction pods the ones with the screw cap covers? If they are the ones I'm thinking of they look crap - imo. Lash out and get the FPV pod. Its worth the extra $$ and everything will match.

Qld Cruises And Events
Hey Shaz. No specific dates in mind though I could ring Gene and see what he's got on the schedule. Really trying to gauge support for another day and see who is interested in a few hot laps. Cheers Craig

A-pillar Twin Pods And Guages Question.
I thought A-pillar gauge pods were illegal nowdays. Some of the ricers I work with told me, but they could be wrong though....

Qld Cruises And Events
Darlington any day over Willowbank. Darlington is a far more interesting track - imho! The last track day had everyone who attended raving about it. Perhaps paying for the new brake pads and tyres after the day has changed opions though Cheers Craig

Bf Or Bs?
I'm not the least interested in what its worth in 10, 20, or 30 year. It will have been recycled into baked bean cans by then. I'm interested in the effect on reasle that the relase of the BF will have on BA MkII GT, GT-P and Typhoons that are all less than a year old. Anyone thinking the BA MKII will be a collectors item should submit themselves for drug testing - imo.

Qld Cruises And Events
Any thoughts on another track day?? Thanks to Steve at RDP and an SMB dump pipe and cat I have 315rwkw to play with and can't think of a better place than a track to run it.

Injectors
I had the std injectors drilled and have not had a problem. 1st tune was 368rwhp and it ran like a dream. Latest tune is 421rwhp and is smoother again. Fuel injector type and size don't effect fuel economy. AF ratio's, rpm and rwhp do!

Bf Fpvs
The F6 does it back to front. Plumb 15lbs though them and the noise from the induction/bov side are just as sweet as the exhaust on a V8 - IMO

Cool Bonnet Ideas
HPC coat the exhaust manifold, exhaust wheel housing on the turbo and dump pipe. That will drastically reduce under bonnet temps and avoid any rice concerns with vents or scoops

Bf Or Bs?
Am I alone in feeling short changed by Ford/FPV releasing the BF less than 12 months after the release of BA MKII?? Many thought we would see BA MKIII released which would have meant many us were only a ‘mark’ behind. Perhaps I’m cynical but is this a way for FMC/FPV to help distance themselves from the Typhoon clutch fiasco? I’m sitting here with a car that cost me over $70K, has had more issues than any other car, and it’s superceded in less than 12 months. Or perhaps it’s all just a coincidence….. :pinch:

Oooh!
Hope you don't get 13. Ask Ric how lucky that one was

Dyno Day @ Power Torque
Sorry guys but have to pull out! SORRY!!!
-
Dyno Day @ Power Torque
Put me down for late in the running. Won't have the new dump/cat fitted by then unfortunately, and Steve from RDP is O/S so no chance of a re-tune. Will run what I brung and see how she stacks up.

A Gt Owners F6 Critique
17psi boost!! Holly crap that's a hell of a lot of boost for 'only' 307rwkw

Brembo Vs Ap Racing Stoppers
I went for the Brembo's on my F6 and I'm really happy with them. Track days are a dream as they simply never fade. The AP 6 pots would be a great setup but really the Brembo's are more than enough even if you do track days regularly. Forget the price the Ford guys give you for pads, you can pick up a set for well under a grand if you look around. For what its worth my susgestion would be go the Brembo's and then spend the 'difference' between Brembos and the AP 6 pots on an edit and hi flow cat. The best part about your decision is you can't make a bad choice - AP or Brembo are both sensational stoppers.

Premium Brakes
The Ford performance brakes are great. The Brembo's are spectacular. Just a matter of how hard your going to drive V's how much $$ you want to spend.
