Kirsten's got a AU company car and a KN laser Mum's got a KE laser Sister's got a KF laser Dad's got a AU company car and a EA In-laws all have Fords too! When all cars are at home, we have a total of 6 falcons, and a total of 8 Fords! And that's when kirsty isnt visiting! When she is, the Falcon tally jumps up one. Love my Fords.........

Cmon Marty! Edit your post! You dont need proof of ownership to buy a XR8 bonnet. There doesnt seem to be much stuff at all that you do need a VIN number for. Fiddly things like build number plaques you do, but that's about all ive found!

My opinion of those results is something must be wrong somewhere! How can a XTV8 that "should" only have a 220kw motor on board make 201kw at the wheels? That means he is only losing 19kw through drivetrain loss? Doubt it. XR6T's make 240 at the fly, and usually spit out 190kw at the treads. This reading sounds about right. But the XTV8 reading is a little optimistic methinks........

A dealer trying to talk you out of a sale, so that they make more money? Gee, that sounds familiar! You can get the XR8 air filter assembly for aorund $230 complete, I would be going that way. I am so sure you can fit the SS induction later on down the track. If it fits a XR8 or a GT, I cant see any reason why it wont fit a 6 with a 8 airbox. Go the XR8 air assembly. Harasn recommended it to me, and now I recommend it to everyone! Highly!

Even if I do bring the Turbo, I will be bringing the BBQ anyway. jeez im good.......... :lol: :lol:

After studying the picture on the website, I find it very hard to believe why the ss inductions wont work on a XR8 filter setup installed in a T. I am not doubting you one bit teebone, I have a XR8 assembly on my T, and it looks like the ss induction system would fit quite easily.......

If somethings "major" happens with the car (warranty) and they find someone has "tampered" with the main harness by putting a plug on it, it wont be too hard to work out what that plug does! It has been said many times over, if you are worried about warranty, dont mod your car!

Shouldnt the factory 18's have Dunlop SP Sport 9000's on them? Or is it SP 3000's?

I will start off by saying I know JACK SH!T about the internal workings of auto's , but if there are more gears (6 in the new ZF trans), is there more things than can go wrong with it? One of the strongest transmissions made is a two speed Powerglide! I personally think four forward gears is enough, if the final gearing is right, but I am always open to change and improvement!

It will be on the dyno at Gas Tune sometime in the new year, should be something to see! New motor is ready, taking it to Dave Handley's engine dyno shortly to see what it spits out. Will let you know if you like, nothing sounds better than a blown V8 on the dyno doing 6000 rpm IMO!

Sorry Scotty, we had a customer come in the other day with 22 000 klms on the clock and he had splitting sidewalls, he drove away with 4 brand new SP 3000 A's. Not sure who told you only 4000klms, I have the service bulletin in front of me, and it says nothing of the like.

Very common problem see your local Ford dealer and they will sort it out for you.

Canberra peoples? Whats the verdict? Doesnt bother me greatly. The highway isnt all bad, the CB's usually make out for some "interesting" topic of conversations! But if you all want to go the alternative route, im not navigating!
