  1. Unfortunately, due to geographical problems, nowhere will ever be central...... you wont be able to keep everyone happy. I am keen for Albury/Wodonga!
  2. Dont spose you had a few drinks while you were there, did you plonks?

I have a Toshiba P20 Satellite, and it doesnt have a 9 pin serial port? Am I up creek without a paddle? Well you could buy a USB to serial cable instead. http://www.gpsoz.com.au/usb.htm Brian p.s That's a good spec notebook. Thanks Brian! you the man! I will print off the page and give them a call tomorrow!

  6. You can buy the globe separately. now that you mention it though......
  7. Dont know exactly, but if we ordered it through stock order, could probably slash a coupla hungee off. Stock order generally takes a week, maybe a week and a half. Dont quote me though! Any particular reason for asking Scotty?
  8. Everyone will be seeing a lot less of me form now on, the IT department at my dealer has blocked ALL site's that arent work related! Banking, shares, cinema's, ninemsn.com, and unfortunately fordxr6turbo.com have all been blocked. I saw the monitoring software, as soon as somebody logs onto a "non work related site", a email gets sent to the administrator, and is blocked immediately. Life is so cruel.
  9. I have a identical setup to Trumpy's, and I am happy as well. I also use a BMC filter, but I havent dyno'd it yet to see if there is any difference. Hopefully the dyno testing will happen very shortly. And the story about the computer compensating for the increased airflow? Well, my car's computer hasnt compensated for it one bit. It was still putting out the increased numbers last time it was dyno'd. And by the feel of it, it still is going harder than stock.
  10. Kirsty is a big fan. We got our demo's in yesterday, and she likes them. Id only get a RWD one though, not much point of having AWD if the main K's you do is between ACT and Sydney! The AWD's use more juice too. But she would be trading in her Laser, there's no way id exchange my T for a Territory!
  11. Trumpy nails it on the head. Im all for hiring out a racetrack, and doing ballistic speeds, but doing the same speeds on a public road, that people actually live on? No thanks.
  12. Nup, ill disagree with that one. With the brakes on my car, the clamping pressure is certainly a lot higher, and ive jumped on my brakes hard, and the fog lights are still where they should be....
  13. Nup, sorry. Not on my T. The only good scoops ive seen are the ones on top of a Phase III GTHO, and the XB/XC GS bonnets. DISCLAIMER: this is my opinion, it is neither correct or incorrect.
  14. If it has blown due to normal wear and tear, generally, the customer coughs up, but if its blown due to a electrical problem, then that's warranty all the way. :gasthrower:
  15. Slight problem here folks, we are not a club. Im estimating it would cost thousands to close Mt Panorama for any period of time.
  16. My 5k and 10k services cost me about $90 each. Gotta love working for a dealer! Id tell you what my 15k service cost me, but ive got another 2k to go!
  17. Depending on how well the blower belt hangs on, absolute max revs will be about 7000rpm just to be safe.
  18. No grasshoppers were intentionally harmed in the creation of CPC Performance. It was meant to be innocent and a term of endearment, but now you mention the sinister side......
  19. 6 inches baby!
  20. OK Time to bore you all with some details... XC Cleveland block that has been concreted and sleeved. Clevo's are renowned for splitting bores. Hi Energy 8 ltr oil pan with hi-volume oil pump. Ford Yates alloy heads, the ones banned from use in NASCAR, I bought these 2nd hand off a fellow who made 602hp without touching them. I have had these heads ported by a well known machinist in Sydney. DJR roller rockers and push rods. Stroker crank to 386 ci. Full external balance. Eagle rods, Ross blower pistons, Crow cam with "unknown" specs. The cam may change after the engine dyno. Active Performance intake manifold, Custom extractors and exhaust (yet to be finalised). Vortech J trim supercharger capable of running 28psi, but currently only planning to run 15psi. Front mounted aluminium intercooler and 3 1/2in intake piping. 3 blow off valves (one open at idle, 2 open at gearchange) Yes, plonky, they are very noisy! Full Haltech E6S programmable fuel injection system, 8 x 13b Turbo fuel injectors, SX Fuel pump and pressure regulator. May have to run C16 when im giving it a hard time, but I plan on running PULP on the street. Final power figures are unknown, as nobody to our knowledge has built a motor like this. My engine builder has given me some rough estimates, but im keeping them quiet until I have definite figures from Dave Handley. Am hoping we will have the motor in the engine dyno around July. Considering the heads have made 602 hp already, and im ramming 15psi down them as well, it should be interesting..... And the cost? Tens of thousands! And rising! Will keep you all informed of figures when we get them. Sorry bout keeping it on topic Ken!
  21. Top idea, just dont make it near Hunter time, and please dont make it in August! I can help organise the crew from ACT for a convoy run to Bathurst.
  22. The website is being contructed as we speak. Patience my grasshopper!
  23. Had a XR6T Ute towed in about a month ago, a leg fell out of bed. Big mess, left more motor on the road. Ute was fitted with a APS Phase II kit (as far as I am aware), Ford rejected the claim for a short motor. Customer had to cough up 1500 odd beer tickets for a new short motor. Could have been faulty manufacture, could have been through negligence of the owner, could have been due to the mods, could be a lot of things. Just thought id add that one in.
  24. Or you'll fall on your @ss, they'll pull the illuminated switch out, and replace it with a non illuminated one and say "that's the way it should have left the factory! No switches illuminated!"
  25. Ive only got another 3 large to pay off my XC's motor. Im getting toey!
