  1. Nope Perth mate and it's a auto
  2. yeah went through that one, seems no one has pin pointed the cause of the noises - alot of different ideas. I purchased my car from ahg mitsubishi im taking it back under warrenty but if their service team is anything like their used car salesman I wont get anything done and ill have to pay for it myself. as for the lowering, seems its a risk lowering the ute.. worth it? maybe
  3. Hi guys, I want to lower my ute, but have been reading associated problems with the back end.. CV joints ect, and ive already got a knocking sound.. Whats the best way to go without blowing out my wallet, reset leafs with camber kit? whats everyones opinion in order to safe guard the joints in the back end?
  4. cheers! cleared alot up, it definately pays to be able to do it your self, unfortunately im not one of those people..

    Limits

I think that would come in around the 6k mark, WIll contact him when I get home, but the car could be started daily while im at work if needed. Valve springs or dump pipe for the Fg's do you think? In reference to this topic I presume the valve springs have a lower rwkw limit then the dump pipe? (from what ive read)
  6. how much is a E85 conversion? or is it just a part of the normal tune?

    Limits

It's hard to say what power you want when you have never had it haha, so I think more in terms of money for value. First round of mods will be 5-6k (which is ready to go) then another 5k by the end of the year , I thought if I could figure out the limits of each part I could choose my parts that way.. But as pointed out that's not the way to choose.. I don't know much about e85, but I guess you could say I'm chasing a power that is safe for the car and 'hopefully' won't lead to breakages ect. It's a daily driver but as I work away alot of the year it's definately a 'toy' so I want to have high power .. I'd never in my life say I had too much power that's for sure!

    Limits

Hi guys, For the last few weeks ive been scrolling through countless posts - in search of the limits for all the standard peformance parts for my FG F6 I know the information is there, but people have alot of different ideas..I was hoping to post this to see if I can get a general idea so I can formulate the package to go with For the items below, what are the general power limits for each part? or should I be looking at things as a package rather then the individual part? Stock; Actuator= Intake= Cooler= Exhaust= Valve springs= Injectors= and anything else I missed? Thanks!
  9. Ok sounds like a plan Worm- xtreme fords in midvale (WA).. All those prices are fitted.. Too expensive ? I really have no idea cheer for the advice
  10. So the standard intake is ok for the power I'll get ( if I went with injectors instead). I was chasing a loud flutter noise which I thought came from larger inductions .. Either turbo side or passenger side.. Or am I mixed up? They said $700 for I.D injectors I think that's fitted? I think going the full intercooler may be a good idea as I'll do another batch of mods in 6 months? Cheers
  11. Hey guys, going into to get the first round of mods done (08 FG f6 UTE) nizpro intercooler (2295) cat and dump (1500) ss induction (600) and the tuner and tune (1700) do these prices seem reasonable? and does this seem like a good place to start? lots of posts about this but I was hoping to get a definitive answer before I blow 5k+ ! CHEERS!!
  12. Im taking my brothers FG F6 into simon at Xtreme for a ss induction, nizpro cooler and hi flo cat with a tune.. is this the best way to start on a budget? or should he stretch out for a dump aswell? any ideas on where that will leave him in regards to rwkw?
  13. what rims are on yours that I can see in your pic? looks nice
  14. ok thanks ill check in the morning
  15. I've found other post for this seems it's common could need tightening or something who knows Grr
  16. Nope car is 100% stock
  17. Hi guys I have a knock sound somewhere underneath my fg f6 ute, it happens at slow speeds when taking off/turning. Can't tell if it's at the back or front so maybe both ... Maybe a loose joint or something ??
  18. Hi guys The right hand side gauge on my fg f6 that goes up to 150 degrees I take it that's the oil temp? What is it meant to be around ?? Mine is going over half way when driving it hard
  19. Hi guys Last night my gf hit a huge kangaroo into my FG F6.. Front bumper is ruined along with mesh, and the bar that goes across (radiator bar??) has been torn .. The plastic at the front of the engine bay is ruined too.. But the air inlet is still connected and looks ok luckily . There is no mechanical damage. The bonnet is crumpled a bit over where the inlet is.. Still looks like a bit of space between the inlet and bonnet but I'm worried about stopping the air flow? Does it need a direct avenue to air ? I need to drive it around for insurance quotes that's why I ask. We drove it the remaining 150kms without any leaks or increases in temps. It makes a very slight whistle at higher speeds but seems like that is just due to the new shape of the front left Any advice would be appreciated can I still drive it for a few days ??
  20. Hi guys Ive seen a 'drift' bonnet on a xr6turbo a while ago, do they make them for FG's? or even just a carbon fibire bonnet? I assume someone does can anyone help me to find a dealer?
  21. I emailed Simon at nizpro and he said leave the injectors till 320kw, and the fuel pump is fine till 400kw. He recommended doing cat and intercooler with battery relocation set up.. I've been reading on the exhaust forum for days but maybe you could advise .. What's the power limit with.. A) just a hi flo cat B) hi flo cat and dump pipe Seems people suggest get the dump pipe and cat for now, some note just to get the cat? I'm getting off topic here!
  22. Ok thanks ive sent him a message about the intake kit. From what ive read there isnt much power to be gained from a turbo side pod? money to power ratio I mean.. I was planning on just a tune and the pod intake to start untill I get back from work next time..
  23. Yeah I'll get a tune Any preference on makers for the stainless?
  24. Thanks guys, should of just asked in the first place I'm going to ask a rediculous question. What do you mean by 4" intake.. Not a pod? As I understand it a turbo side intake is a pod connected to a pipe that goes into the turbo.. Can you explain te different options ? Cheers in advance
