I am runnin this combo but I changed to bilsteins at the same time. handling is exceptional compared to before I only had the standard 18s. I think the ride would be ok with just springs but overall handling would be rubbish

Wastegate actuator arm bent. Leaves the flapper partially open is the engine light or anything coming on?

Since when is the gts 40k more expensive then the gt r-spec as tested rrp $76900 and the gts is 95k. I would personally live to see how they produce with performance mods again the gt. Most of the other cars gts was up against are 50k on top of the gts but who really cares most of us can't afford any of them...

I have had my car tuned at autotech and have also had a strange noise when cold and also quite often at around 60kms an hour a very harmonic drone. Not sure if it is the trans but I think I am going to revert to lg6 as I don't want the transmission to going on its way.

Hundred times worse when car is warm. Tried greasing them but that didn't really work. I'll be putting d bushes on tomorrow. Hope it fixes it. It's super irritating at the moment..

I'm pretty sure by the time you go bigger injectors and fuel system to support e85 you would be looking at 6k with a few other mods... Just saying..

Have put a pod in standard box and have muffler delete but haven't been done lately. It was about 12 months ago..

I have pulled the intake off a few times in the past and found oil sitting in the mouth of the turbo. I usually wipe it off and put humpty back together again. I have just pulled it off again after about 3000kms to find that there is no oil sitting in the front housing. Seems slightly wet if you rub your finger on it but a lot less then usual.. Should I be concerned?

Your main benefit from short intake is louder spool and these heat generated in the intake from intake traveling over the engine. Not exactly quicker spooling.. Good mod but generally pricey unless you can make one up yourself..

Sorry creak seems to come from the rear end.

About 10k ago I replaced upper on control arm bushes, diff bushes, blade bushes with superpro items (comfort o the diff ones). All was good until 2 weeks ago when I had a wheel alignment and I noticed a few days later that there was a bad creak in the rear end when goin over speed hump and entering driveways mainly. Anyone got any suggestions? I don't want to go to pedder as they just seem to tell you everything needs replacement..

As I mentioned I don't yet have my temp probe to check exactly but the I did do it would be pretty damn close. Hopefully the probe arrive this week and I will do the procedure to the letter. I changed my dodgey heat exchanger to a pwr unit on the weekend. I have been waiting for my temperature probe to arrive for 2 weeks now so had to check fluid levels without it. After changing the heat exchanger over it suggests that 500mL of fluid is needed. I noticed on my trans service I had a full flush with gulf syntrans done that the workshop only flushed then jammed the plug in not checking it at temperature. I had no idea of the procedure at the time. Anyway, after changing heat exchanger I checked level cold,Fluid poured out. I then drive it through the gears probably for too long checked again fluid poured out. I then let it cool for about 15 minutes and checked again and fluid was still coming out but not pouring out like before. I would suggest the fluid temp 3rd time around was around 35deg. All up I would say I lost a litre of fluid including the trans cooler change. Car drive fine at the moment but to me it seems that loosing a litre if fluid I would have to be low now? Am I missing something? Can you really overfill them that much?

Yeah thanks for the info I am running gulf western syntrans in my zf. As I expected it just works. I will be purchasing one shortly as I have absolutely no faith in the standard heat exchanger.

Any chance of another round of pwr heat exchangers for the zf transmission?

I have been considering whether I do this or remove it completely.. How many people have done this and had problems? I have an fg ad my concern is the filter becoming brittle being that's it plastic as has been going through hot and cold cycles for the past 5 years. Being that my car runs full synthetic oil I can't see there being much sludge and metal should only be an issue on initial 1500kms. So correct me if I'm wrong but why is it even there? Because ford recommended oil is a mineral oil?

Not bias hey... I personally haven't had any problems and shifts are nice and firm. I just have a really strange drivetrain noise that I can pinpoint and it seems to be close to gear shifts. It could well be Nvh from bushes though... I think ill stick with my gw.. Still nothing bad to be heard. Best place in Sydney to get a drum and motocraft filter kit? Cheers all

Hi mate, I have read this before and a few other who have used gulf western. I was more wondering if anyone has had any issues with it? Also where did you get the filter kit through? Is it genuine? Have you heard any reports on the new pwr heat exchanger all I know is there was a group buy a few months back. By the way that right up of yours is top info.. Cheers

I have done many searches on this and can't find anyone with any real problems. I have has it n my car to about 25k and have a stange driveline noise. Not sure where it is but is up for another trans srvice and trying to decide whether to go back to lifeguard or stick with the syntrans? Has anyone had any problems with gulf western syntrans? Has anyone had issue with aftermarket trans service kits? Have seen them for $40 and ford want $200 for their service kits. Give me some fedback please as I am going to do a tRanny service and change myheat exchanger to a pwr item over the weekend.

I think I have a pretty big issue will my tailshaft. Found a fair amount of grease or oil around the rear tailshaft uni. This mean the uni is gone? Have had noise once about 8 months ago when I hit 180 km/h sounded like I broke something but since then nothing. Anyone know a good tailshaft bloke in Sydney?

I have noticed quite a few people went in a group buy for the heat exchanger style cooler to suit the zf. I was wondering how everyone is finding them? My mates old man has milkshaked his twice and now facing a 6k bill I think I better take out insurance.. Also where is the best place to purchase them? Seen them on fleabay for $750 plus post.. Cheers
