Hi Dallas, There is definetely one member here with a Congo but l cant remember his alias. Has posted pics in the past and l think he may be from SA. Maybe someone else knows?? The member you are talking about is SA Tickford. I've saved some pics of his car at the FPV open day on my hard drive, so I'll attach them for you. If I remember correctly, the pics were taken by and posted on here by another member just after the open day. Think they were Richdaves pics? .. BTW .. That car was just awesome!... The pics ( without deriding the cameraman!!), just don't do the colour of this car justice!..

A.Moffat... You are entitled to a refund of your deposit!...( if it is more then 14 days past estimated delivery).. Read the fine print on the back of your contract.... Before you decide to walk though, I would run your "problem" past another dealer or 2... You might be surprised?.. Might even be worth a call to Westpoint? , forum sponser.... ( I know it's Melb, but wouldn't hurt?.. Ask for Craig Waller)

AMoffat...On your contract of sale,..Check the Delivery date?.( bottom left).If the vehicle is delayed 14 days or more AFTER this date, you can terminate the contract!

Talking to Westpoint yesterday....& they are just delivering their 1st blood orange!!....Can't wait to start seeing this colour on the road!!

Mondie, dealer has told me , the "splits" are THE only rims on GT's or Pursuits.. No interchanging of GTP rims or any others! ( XR 18's etc)This is Ford policy, apparently!.. And Yes Digi camera is charged & ready! ( probably be flat by the time it finally happens?)

Steve , howabout informing your salespeople of the potential of sales to a "waiting market"... Meaning US?... Steve, Do we use standard calipers with your rotors?... Pad material?.. And what sort of money for fronts, plain, slotted, & slotted & drilled?

Hmmm. If you get the booster seats done in Plexis blueprint.. AND you have the interior fabric protection thingo done when you buy the car, AND your little ones have a bit of an "accident" on their plexis blueprint booster seats... Does the protection warranty cover the cleaning or replacement of same?... OR would you need EXTRA cover?

Dealer called today and advised that the official dealer release date for FPV vehicles ( GT's & Pursuits).. Is now April 1st :tears: ( NOT fooling, either!)... And there IS an issue with the supply of GT alloys.. Hence the "promo" GT's & Pursuits wearing either XR8 18's Or GTP 7 spoke alloys!.. ( If they would give it to me on steel rims & a discount, could think of many a nice rim I'd choose, instead of the globes?? :idea: )

MercuryXR6T... Will give you a yell on that one!.. The wife has a XR6T with standards.. I have a Pursuit coming( Soon, PLEASE) with the standards ( which are same as premiums on XR's).. Be interesting?.. Wonder how much, the weight will be a factor?

From memory , about $2200... That included S/S braided brakelines, top of the range fluid... & BONUS , no more black brake dust over your rims. On the front calipers it has "HERROD" logo... On the tickfords,( AU's) It had TICKFORD, in this case, It has FPV... They ARE , I'm certain , the same PBR caliper... BUT the Discs are a higher grade of cast iron

Scott52, since last we spoke re your DBA's I have gone into this a bit more.. Reliable guys in the braking game are telling me that the standard rotors on the falcons are made of "crap cast".Hence the warping problem when excessivly heated, Even the premium fronts on the XR's, though, bigger in dia, are ordinary! DBA, & most of the aftermarket rotors are much higher quality! I had this problem on my last AU11, & changed to Herrod brakes,( which, BTW aren't $3000) just the 2 piston front, 1 piston rear ( which are identical to the premiums on the XR's, except different composition of cast in the rotors, & superior pad material).The difference under sustained heavy braking was amazing!..Remembering that AU11's already had 2 piston fronts!

How do you think a limited edition XR6T would go? Marketed through FPV.. Maybe in a colour that is distinctive ( already thought of Yellow Blaze, NOT citric, I mean a solid bright yellow, your thoughts?) Maybe a GT nose, Different bonnet ( not the V8 bulge , maybe an air scoop off to one side?) REALLY stand alone 18's ( shadow chrome finish), High rear wing, Interior with Recaro type "XR TURBO"embroided seats, few more gauges ( Boost gauge?).. Brembo's Or an alternative "premium brake system" Factory big bore exhaust, & intercooler, ( maybe an extra 20- 30 kws) and of course individually numbered .. 0- 100?.. Put a $65,000 price tag on em.. And they'd be "walking out the showroom"? What are we gunna call them??
