I spoke to my dealer last week and he said he would ring up today to let me know the status of my March build XR6T.

Well, he phoned today. I was expecting something along the lines of "it starts on the production line in about a week."

Imagine the big smile that went across my face when he said that my car was at FPV waiting for them to do their thing and is scheduled to leave there on March 18. He says I'll have it by the end of the month, if not sooner. Oh, the wait appears to finally be coming to an end.

From an ex Adelaide boy now in Brisbane...and having had one of these for going on two weeks...you will dead set love it...it is by far the best, most fun...thrilling car I have ever owned

My kids love it...my wife loves it...my co-workers love it...it is just sensational!!

Got another call from my dealer today. My XR6T arrived there this morning and I can pick it up at 3:00 next Friday (28th March). Only 8 days to go. The wait is almost over.

I ordered on 7 Dec 2002. That means that the wait will have been 3 months and 3 weeks (111 days!).

No, you read right. It is at the dealer. I didn't ask why so long. Doesn't bother me too much though because I still have a couple of things to organise re insurance and my trade in. Plus, hopefully if they take their time for pre-delivery I won't have any problems. I like the idea of getting it on a Friday too, especially since the Monday after is my RDO. All of Friday night, Saturday, Sunday & Monday to drive it around. Oh yeah, bring it on!!!
