  1. I haven't used VOIP service yet that I'd be happy with, you will need really good bandwidth with bugger all ping response from the VOIP supplier. I've used Faktortel etc. on 1500 ADSL & Cable & the success rate is dependant on internet traffic at the time. There's no way I'd recommend it for small to medium business as the infrastructure required to get reliability is a huge. PSTN/ISDN is far better than VOIP any day. If you have ADSL you still need to pay line rental, if you have cable, wireless, satellite you can cancel the Copper wire rental etc. Russ
  2. Yeh good on Holden!!! Let's compare Holden & Ford Expensive Daewoo announce that they will give the procedes of the last monaro to charity! Ford procede to sack 30,000 people world wide!!!
  3. Hey Lumpy, has brother ever been a druggy???? Pot etc.??
  4. Unless there is a fault in the cable or box to obd socket! Russ
  5. I wouldn't worry, that's what insurance is for!!! This'll be interesting, will CAPA cover the cost of repairs to the PCM if the edit has stuffed it?????
  6. down to .89mm did make a huge difference, but I still get them going out on the 10PSI tune, just not as severe. They'll definately need to go closer to solve the issue.
  7. So you reckon .8mm is too close???? ROFL
  8. Yeh, check the plug gap. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
  9. I don't think Tuner knows what the plug gap is for a Typhoon or the GTR. in fact I don't think he's tuned a huge variety of turbo cars at all. Someone like C & J in Bris, or Chiptorque would have a better grasp. I'd close the gap down more than .9mm, at least .8. I've set mine to .89mm & they still miss, just not as bad so at least .8mm. As for his rot about Ford not supplying good componentry, tuner won't come anywhere near the one I stated about people running 400KW on standard ignition???? Also Tuner what is the date release for the latest set of base tunes??? Russ
  10. This one's easy!!!! If it's an auto, just put enough pressure to hold the front brakes & just give it more throttle! If it's a manual, you can heel toe the throttle/brake or brake/clutch & keep the revs into it! you need to feel the throttle & not put too much pressure on the brake so they don't hold back the rears! if you dump the clutch too hard somethings gotta give & my bets a Borg Warner piece of crap called a diff! Russ
  11. Well what gap do the typhoons runs standard???? & what plug gap did the GTR have??? I still can't see the problem being Ford, the more I think about it, no one has had to replace the ignition to gain 400kw! Russ
  12. I'd kick the missus out!!! HAHAHA The original question isn't real serious one is it??? Ford put all his extra stuff in to weigh it down!!! Besides ripping trim, how far do you wnt to go, you could pull the carpet & remove all teh sound deadening, but I doubt your'e serious enough for that!
  13. Ask XR6_Prod He's the only one I know of on here that races them!!!
  14. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA AAAAAGGGHHHHHH Vik, you're a clown!!!
  15. What is the difference in gap between the typhoon & Mk1 Xr6 turbo??? Bear in mind the XR6 Turbo is designed by Ford to run 240KW/450NM, like a few other things like IC, Valve Springs etc. they haven't engineered to go dramatically past their spec! Also what's the new off the shelf cost of a Nissan GTR compared to a XR6 Turbo??? Also what gap are they using in the GTR with the upgraded coils???
  16. Mate plug gap is plug gap, too big a gap & they blow out, regardless of coil setup. Simple. the only difference is that a multi coil setup will be able to supply a better hv compared to a single coil! Any motor will do it if the gap is too big. As stated Nissans, Subies all have the same probs when increasing boost, you should know this!!!! As for abusing Vik, he loves it, in fact he thrives on it!!!!
  17. It is double the PSI compared to factory & Subarus, Nissans etc all have the same prob with plug gap when increasing boost! Sequential ignition has nothing at all to do with the problem nor does multi coil. Plug gap is plug gap & to big a gap is the problem. The more boost the closer the gap will have to be. Simple! Russ......Vik, get your tongue out of Tunas ass!!!
  18. That ones a bit harsh on Ford. the cars work fine from factory with none of the above problems, they haven't set the cars up to run 10 PSI or more.Common on all turbo cars is to blow out the spark when you up the boost, you should know this if you've worked on a high performance turbos. the Valve spring problem is caused by the increase in back pressure when increasing the boost! Both of these can hardly be attributed to a Ford quality control, their quality control on this is fine on a stated spec of 240KW!!! The magic cat will help the valve spring problem as it will free up the back pressure past the turbo! Russ
  19. no worries mate, it's the White weapon that has the problem! Mate I'll be over with the green gremlin as that's the new acquisition, when I end up selling the white one! Cheers Russ
  20. I've had the gap problem, brought it down to .89mm, but they still blow out! Also mine has gone into a rough idle, like an overfuel & then cleared itself after a few seconds! My white T keeps turning off the TC on the 7PSI & 10 PSI map! I also believe the exhaust valve springs are staying open as it will also make a deep noise sometimes! Russ
  21. This will all depend on your driving habits!!! Do you ride the clutch, keep your foot on the clutch pedal, change up gears & keep the revs into it etc.??? All these will cause excessive wear. The quickest way to fry a clutch is to release the pressure at high revs. A leaking oil seal can cause the same problem, but you'd more than likely see oil around the bell housing. You're not gonna know what to do until the clutch comes out, then you'll see what the cause is Russ
  22. Steve give Mark Walker a call on 0407 138745 He's involved with the Red Zone on Briz31 & does write ups for speedweek etc. & should be able to do the job for you. He'll even do commentry if needed. He's pretty good doing editing etc. & if you want the full on professional job he can even arrange a film crew etc. We pay them to do the Gemini racing at QR & Morgan Park. He's working during the day at Archerfield Speed Karts. Tell him Russ gave you his number! Russ
  23. Oh no the poor wheelie bun!!!!
  24. Are you gonna have a run???? Depending on how they run it, but if they launch together there's gonna be carnage for sure!! Russ
  25. Are the cars caged???? What regs do they have to adhere to??? Do they race by themselves or side by side??? If not I bet this event gets canned pretty quick!
