  1. Lookin into buying a short motor from ford which has all the near gear in it then service my head providing it's not RS. Still gotta wk out the sump part
  2. Nope
  3. I guess you could probly make up an offset hole for the packer thingy doo hickey me bobski didle..?
  4. Got one, turbo seal went to poo
  5. It's hard to see but there's a film of oil over the lot
  6. Found a lot of oil in the intake from a blown front seal on the turbo. Any tips on getting the oil out of the cooler peeps?
  7. Nah bud, it still there though it sound farkin horrid. Thinking big end bolt or bearing, not sure yet. I shut it straight down was only sitting on about 2k under sfa load
  8. I'm still in too fellas but I'll be riding with my brother. Been busy chasing up stuff, like tom said my cars off the rd atm
  9. Legs in
  10. Honestly just driving along completely normal, probly on about 2psi when it happened as I was lightly "accelerating". I have a feeling it's been a long time coming, been hearing a light ticking noise come from the bottom end. Haven't got it out yet but I have a feeling it would have spun a bearing or a rod bolt let go. It's ran over 85000km with more than 300rwkw at the wheels + it has 175xxxkms on the clock.... 1 more thing was it's 1st tune was from pingtune. It's had a good run... Just really bad timing.
  11. Turbos gunna have to wait... blew my motor today.
  12. Motor terminal.... :( Pulling it out now. Pics will come
  13. --------------- Haven't looked into the Borg Warner's tbh + if there more exxy I don't think ill venture that ave. anyways. Are the gtx's laggier than the standard turbo??? Also are the new precision units water cooled?
  14. No don't know anyone with one
  15. My tuner has had some good results too I'm just concerned it may not last aswell as the known quality Gtx.. especially after reading that post turbotrana posted. I have heard they spool up quicker which would be better on the street IMO but I've spoken to a few Gtx owners now that say they have sfa lag anyway.
  16. To now It's boxed in. To stay in topic with the thread title today I've increase front and rear camber so I can chew up my 255's on the twistys and go back to the right size tyre for the rim (ppl who say stick wider tyres on a skinny room should be shot lol) Also realigned the cradle a little better since it was sticking out one side a wee bit. Next up.. wheel alignment
  17. Ill have a look in the xcal for it, thanx TH. Marky it's hitting 21lb pretty much bang on 3k then fades at about 4 to 20lb. It'll only be like this for about another month, hopefully it holds up thru everything till then lol I think it's a mixture of things like better turbo, last one had a slight bend in the fin + the bearings were cactus. Took it in for a rebuild after sucking a bit of rubber through (from the standard joiner) and it's never been the same since, he didn't replace the front wheel just straightened it the best he could and replaced the bearings (my fault for trying to do it on the cheap.) The new (2nd hand) turbo seems to whistle nicer too if that even makes sense lol + now I have made the intake roughly half as long as before. I think it's probly a bit more efficient than b4 and that's the real problem. Even though preload is def. less than b4 it's still OB.
  18. Thanks turbotrana
  19. Good sh*t Trev
  20. Slapper
  21. Gents won't be long now till I purchase a new turbo. It's a manual and a daily, still hadn't been to the track so... Yeh mostly just for the street. Tuner is leaning towards the 62/35 for my setup. It's a bit of coin to get it setup so I'm after some more feedback. Here's some pics
  22. Must be on to something. I put a def. 12 psi on it (12lb act.)today and it extended the rod a good 5mm. It's opening just like it should or even early for that matter, still over boosts like a biatch though
  23. That has gotta be the hardest way I have ever seen to remove the furker.
