Territory Turbo
Great move no doubt, but a stock TS AWD Territory Turbo would not be much quicker than an XT imo (XT 9.3 kg/kW vs TS AWD Territory Turbo approx 8.8 kg/kW if 240kW) then lose more power from AWD drivetrain loss ...

Oil Usage
fraggle, not one top-up required in 14,000 k's.

Crossed Over
Jimmy just in case it has the LS1's oil appetite it might be faster getting to the spare oil in the back without the hardcover

Wrx Vs Xr6 Turbo
My experience differs. I went from stock 2000 WRX to stock XR6T auto and am very happy. I do miss the firm handling of the WRX but the T is much better balanced. I do miss the boost rush of the WRX but don't miss the lag. Nothing like bogging down in 1st gear watching taxis drive away from you

Mk11 Stripes
why are people calling them MkII stripes?

Sti's Think They Are All That
Someone needs to fix the look of the WRX/STi. The scoop, headlights, grill and bumper look like they come from different cars

First Real Kill
Watch out for the "You Play You Pay Police" You'll be blamed as the reason for the next T insurance premium rise

Lsd Issues
Bob, I had a dark side LSD which a dealer put the wrong oil in (HD oil instead of synthetic) and this stuffed the diff and created exactly what you are explaining. Diff specialist called it cone binding Lucky they detailed on the service receipt which oil they put in my diff

Xr6t Signature Colour
I regard the colours used by the factory for adds, brochures etc as the signature colour for that model - they seem to use mostly the one colour. MkI was Blueprint, MkII Velocity and XR8 Ute MkII Rapid?

F6 Review
Ford got it pretty right with the XR6T really. Yes there are members of this site with problems and it could have been quicker blah blah, but the car re-introduced a segment, still gets great reviews, are still selling well and we are all on an XR6T enthusiast website. I don't know though that I count a bumper sitting low at one end as a problem... Improving the XR6T with the F6 was a tough job for a car company existing to make money. Balancing cost, sales of other FPV models, political/media awareness on power levels, future models, timing, brand profile etc is a complicated mix. Most negative comments on here (noting the clutch issue) seem to relate to it's performance not matching the hype - but it seems to perform pretty much like 30 kW/100 nm more should.

Transforming Car Purchasing And Servicing
Heard of business concept innovation? How could car purchasing and servicing be transformed? What other industries do it better? Dreamin I know, but these were my initial ideas... Sales: - Centralised factory test-drive centres and internet purchases delivered to your home. Cars leave factory delivery ready with no dealer delivery charges. - Interest free finance. - Guaranteed Red Book/Glass’ Guide valuation for trade-ins. Servicing: - Fixed price servicing. - Option to pre-purchase all maintenance for the term of the manufacturer's warranty. Rewarded with free annual detailing and guaranteed trade-in value. - The salesperson who sells you the car, whose pay is performance based, is then responsible for coordinating all of your service and warranty requirements. - Mobile factory technicians always on the road that can attend your location and service/repair your car on less than 30 mins notice.

Can The Auto In The T Handle The Edit?
It can't handle the Typhoon so unlikely to handle the edit long term?

Gday Andrew. On the warranty "legal" mods, I was toying with the idea of improving the power:weight ratio by seeing how much weight I could lose on the T. Carbon fibre bonnet, boot?, no rear spoiler, no fogs, light wheels, no spare tyre (spare in a tin)... Enjoy the car Hardy

Hsv R8 6.0lt
Well actually you have a 4 litre motor with a turbo, so effectively you have a 6.8 litre motor if you go by motorsport rulings (effective capacity of turbo motor is 1.7x nominal capacity), just thought I'd point it out. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Isn't the expected power increase from turbo or supercharger normally about 50%? The T is only a 29% increase :o

Dyno's V 1/4 Mile
When the variables include power, weight, drivetrain loss, aerodynamics, driver, traction, fuel, weather conditions etc the track would have to be the better guide. I like power to weight ratios as they remove variables such as the driver, traction and weather conditions and imo give a good indication of the cars performance potential alone.

I doubt it. What incentive would that give you to upgrade your older model to a bright shiny new one with the fantastic new engine!!! Haha!!! Its all about getting more money outta you!!! Haha!!! Chris <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Some Expensive Daewoo dealers reflashed superceeded Gen III Commodores to the new model power level as they were released (where the power upgrades were from ECU changes). Owners needed to ask though and justify it with rough idle, poor starting etc..

Would You Buy A Falcon For Over 80k?
No. There are many ways to get that kind of performance. It would be nice though to have bragging rights for a factory car quicker than a HSV. I don't plan to buy a V8 Supercar but gotta love the Ford 1-2

Wierd Exhaust Rattle?
It might be a Gen III next to you

Operation Of Power Windows
As long as the dog isn't hanging out the window  WRX's had auto close driver's windows that were a potential child trap, ie (like the XR6 auto open) they closed all the way when the button was touched once.

Hsv Vy Clubsport Vs Fpv Gt
So that's what makes the difference because even those dark side V8's with aftermarket exhausts sound crappy IMO. Did the old aussie Expensive Daewoo V8 have a similar firing order to the Boss?
