had a look at them on carsales. most of the new ones were about 32-38k and had a look at fgmk11 xr6's and they are around the same price. Why buy an xt for the same price as an xr6?

If you get a high flow cat the car will start boosting to about 20 psi. Cheap mod for lots of boost (do not do this)

Well one of my mates has a ba xr6 with the full pacemaker competition setup and it sounds great. I don't know about the power increase but just the crackling it makes slowing down would be enough for me

I saw a car that looked like it about a year and a half or 2 years ago with the numberplate paving or something. Looked awesome. There's a maloo up my way with the number plate "paved 4" pavers like people to know what they do. How many other people get their bloody occupation on their numberplate

just had the same problem on mine and was getting quite noisy. used wd40 and drove in an underground carpark and couldnt hear it anymore.

might be going a similar path. after changing my mind a million times of whether to get a new car or do some work on the ute ive decided to keep the ute. might be heading down to heinrichs today to plan some mods. I think after trans + more power + wheels + brakes I will be super happy with the blue bus.

I think all falcon and Late model camira drivers will stay with rwd. Fwd are useless with large amounts of power or towing or carrying heavy sh*t. And also the most popular car of the year isn't necessarily the best. It's usually a small car like a Getz or Mazda. I haven't driven a cruze but I drove around a Mazda 3 sp23 around for a couple of years and it was the f*cking worst car ever. Would never reccomend one to anyone. Was useless. If they replace it with a fwd I'll buy a different brand and I think a lot of others would do the same. Surely ford learnt their lesson when they couldn't sell the taurus in the Australian market, but that was probably mainly to do with it being ugly as anything.

Now 20 years old and my insurance dropped from 1400 to 1000. It's only a 2005 T ute but I have all performance modifications listed. The modifications didn't lift the premium though. Even when I was paying 1400 for full comp it was less than Mates with a magna. Just car don't seem to give a f*ck.

Yea ford boy I had similar issues when the manifold bolts were loose. Took an xr8 at the lights and couldnt get away from it so I knew something was wrong. Felt like massive turbo lag and pretty low on power overall. Easy to check before getting the cat done. I think I already have to tighten mine up again after about 2000 k's

I noticed an improvement blocking the system from a stock bov. but I would like to see the difference of blocked vs an aftermarket one. Seeing that the cardboard stock bov was probably leaking boost. maybe just getting a better bov would get the improvement on throttle response and lag? but due to uneducated coppers a few other guys in adelaide have been defected for Blow of valves when they dont in fact have them. if someone hears a dose from a turbo car they think. "that's the bov making that noise. so its possible to get defected for having an illegally vented bov when you in fact dont have one at all. The people that have tried arguing that point to the cops didnt work either. seems f*cked to me that not having a blow off valve must be legal due to some cars not having them from factory but you can get defected all the same because people dont even know what they are.

Just got an earls oil line for the beast and was going to change it over. no oil should piss out if I take the old one off right? if I let it sit for a while will it be fine for me to switch it over or do I have to drain the bloody thing and refill it after. im hoping that's not the case since it only got new oil 2 weeks ago

I reckon it took a couple of months. But it's not good when it does because I was driving somewhere at sunset. And had to make sure I got there before it got dark. Then couldn't leave. But it dosent take too long to do

That happened to mine and I fixed it myself. There's a tutorial for how to get the unit out on ford forums but instead of replacing the whole thing you can simply rejoin a few wires. This is what mine looked like. Mine were like yours for a little while and then one night auto stopped working so I was stuck. There's a sharp edge inside the indicator stalk that slowly cuts through the wires as you use the indicator.

Is it one specific colour? if they can do mine it would be much appreciated not that I have any peeling

Yea I will be intersted when I get back from work. Im going back up to alice springs for work on monday and im not sure when im back but if you still have them that would be good. I didnt know lowering blocks were specific to different models?

how hard is it to chuck 1 inch blocks in the back. work wise

even though I think the utes look level when they are sitting there the gap above the tyre on the back wheel is a fair bit higher than the front. I dont think you would be looking up if you got the gaps above the tyres the same. Maybe the utes do look downhill when standard.. I dont notice it
