  1. Maybe ask Kev @ process west? Have seen similar things to what he uses in his kit for sale online, can't find a link though sorry.
  2. They all get ~12v, just draws more current to supply the extra accessories. Depends what your running as to whether it needs a dedicated circuit direct to battery. Mines just for chargers etc, so the stock sockets 10a fuse is fine for me.
  3. What quadie said except I used blade piggy back connector things instead so can be removed easy. most time consuming part was removing the center console to run the wiring, not that hard to do though.
  4. Maybe 3/8 BSP, can't remember exactly. Got a 3/8 BSP (if that's what it is) to 1/2 barb on my car, got it at autobarn, TFI racing I think the brand was. I removed my stock one and took it in so I could compare. Then just used some 1/2" hose, and the rubber elbow off the factory line, the 1/2" hose fits over it.
  5. I got an adaptor thing that's got 3 extra power sockets and 2 usb ports, designed to just plug into the existing socket. I cut the plug off though and wired it to the factory socket, and ran it up into my center console, so nothing looks out of the ordinary.
  6. Looked into the 130i a few years ago, RWD hatch, 3l 190kw N/A 6cyl with 6 speed manual, bit of a sleeper. Read a long term review where they clocked up over 100k on it and they had no major issues, had pretty good things to say about it except for f*ck all rear leg room. The 135i coupe would be good too, same engine pretty much but twin turbo. Seems a few people are getting them into the 11's relatively easy too. I'd be having a good chat with a BMW mech before buying either though.
  7. Hers was an N62, but the problem covered a heap of cars and their engine variants (petrol) The cheaper fix part is called the bimmer pipe. Have a google, loads of info on the issue.
  8. Gf had an 05 735li, 3.6l v8. Again, nice car, but f*cking pricey to maintain and fix. It had a common fault, that I found mentioned about the x5 engines too as they're all similar, where a coolant pipe/seal in the middle of the valley fails, 10k to fix through bmw supposedly, a mob in the US made a part so it could be done for 2-3k. Needed all the front removed, radiator out, inlet manifold off etc. Ended up just trading it in with the water leak.
  9. Recall on one filter I used at some stage it said low torque design, maybe a wesfil brand one
  10. Aren't the filters now a low torque design, and made out of a different material to stop the threads corroding and seizing up? Flare nut spanners help prevent stripping too. Edit: http://www.repcotrade.com.au/go/news/ryco-z373-material-change
  11. Ntk make the ford ones, can get the ntk part numbers off their website or by searching around on here, ford no doubt have their own numbers though. what'd it cost out of interest?
  12. Still considered okay to remove the bracket? Just seems like it would make it alot easier to refit the turbo & manifold as one piece than try to fit and torque the turbo on the car, and not have to worry about trying to refit that bracket.
  13. Insurance. Pay excess. Get new car.
  14. Not if your in WA! Park it at a friend or relatives house if your that worried.
  15. Did you put some oil on the new filters seal? Is it on tight? What brand filter was it? So its noticeably longer to build pressure than before you did the change, our had you not taken notice?
  16. Replaced mine with a brass barbed fitting and some hose...
  17. Have 3 extra sockets and 2 usb ports inside my center console, wired to the stock socket so still fused for the same rating. It's only used for gps, phone chargers etc.
  18. The harmonic balancer is there for a reason, I dare say removing it will not improve reliability. Performance gains on a 4l turbo motor probably wouldn't be noticeable.
  19. Everything comes from the ground etc at some point, so at some point it can go back. Even the 'man made' sh*t....
  20. My washer pump still works, think its seen better days though, doesn't seem to have much pressure.
  21. Pretty much all cbd areas in vic have it, check telstras coverage maps. The S2 4g version is crap, drains the battery real quick.
  22. Wait for the 4g version to be released, then pickup a 3g one even cheaper as all the fanboys upgrade. Theres 3 models too, 16gb, 32gb and 64gb, all capable of taking a 64gb micro sd.
  23. They do appear to be the same, few different brands and types though so just double check it first with the manufacturer perhaps? I'm looking to sell my 1600kg genuine ford one so I can upgrade to the 2300kg bar if your still in the market?
  24. The DSC on BF2's, what's it actually capable of? I've never noticed it doing much besides the TC component of it limiting my wheelspin.
  25. Heat gun and fishing line worked great for me
