Mate im looking at doing this on my BA, does the tarp itself need to be altered or is it the correct size for the BA?

Its been a long time since I had my last xr6t (2004 BA MK2 bought new) but ive recently picked up a 2003 BA Ute(done 192k) as a bit of a project and im just going through everything and tidying it up. Ive been scouring the pages on info relating to rough idle once warm and ive attended to some of the obvious as they needed to be done anyway. I.e It has new plugs, injectors serviced (one was rooted) and throttle body cleaned. Its thrown out the codes as pictured (I think the first two have now been cleared after the service) which leads up to believe the timing chain is stretched and throwing out the vct. Would we be right in assuming so? There is no engine light on.

Yeah I love the colour its my first choice if I had any, its also close to my budget especially with the trade in. Another thing was one of the side skirts wasnt sitting flush with the rear guard but I remember my BA was like that new........

This is the car im looking at, what do you guys think? I just went and had a look and its an ex telstra car and is pretty immaculate, except for it looks to have some water damage on the cloth on the passenger side back seat and the pocket on the back of the passenger seat is missing. Also has to small dents where they have over tightened the piece above the number plate. Anyone on here own a white BA Turbo nice and low, I think it has 5 spoke tickford wheels and private plates(cant remember them has something to do with ford) I see it alot around Kingsway/Landsdale??

I am having the same problem here in WA and I cant belive the attitude of some of the dealers especially in these hard times, surely they want to sell cars??? One guy the other day wouldnt budge off $33990 for a bog stock 07BF2 with 55k kms.....I am trying to trade my xr8 ute in at the same time but some of the changeovers are ridiculous.....

Mate I've got a sore neck from shaking my head all day, I couldnt believe it. I went to another dealer and even he couldnt believe it......I will get there eventually...

Would you belive this dealer would not budge off $33990, I cant believe some of these reps.......

Some yards are selling fully optioned ones for 29k so 27k seems ballpark....

Hey Guys Just after some advice, im looking at buying a BF MK2 XR6 TURBO from a dealer here in WA(I will be trading my ute), it has no options 55k kms and is toxic in colour and in very good condition, list price is 33k what should I be aiming for? Regards Johnny

Not for some but for others running flat 11's and 12's it might???

You know I only just found this out the other day, it makes sense but its never come up before. Someone was saying you should take 0.10 off your time on the longer track?? On WAW and MM cant they adjust the finishing beam??

The BA XR8 had a different 5sp the turbo 5 sp was carried over from the AU I think, someone may be able to be a bit more specfic.

I cant believe this is still an issue, this was the main reason I sold my BA 6sp man turbo......

Thanks fellas. I might have found a buyer for the ute, but my budget might be slashed due to unforseen circumstances. If so I'll just try and get into a BF XR6T, but those tornados are almost within reach.
