  1. Thank trainer. Have pmed coolerworx before seems like a gentleman to deal with .Now this feedback I will be getting them .
  2. Did any of you guys who installed the new piping kits notice any performance difference to stock piping?
  3. fg xr6t stock in sydney 14.7 to 15.9 mostly metropolitan area.
  4. The front bar doesnt appeal to me at all. I see it as a step backwards personally.
  5. I also asked the seller a few questions and he couldnt answer properly. He doesnt really know what he is selling.
  6. It can seem to defy logic but if you think about it you are getting off the line quicker therefore propelling the car faster so it's increase in acceleration will reach a given distance quicker at a lower speed. In essence you gain velocity in the first 60 feet propelling you forward via the launch and then power pushes the car as it covers the distance
  7. my whine was my pulleys
  8. Mine has a whine and on my car its the upper pulley.
  9. Typically a car will run richer once you add a set of extractors and exhaust. The average increase on power I have seen on hundreds of cars is 10 to 18 % increase in power. Once tuned the car will have more torque through the power band and be much more responsive. Guys that bag the na six ford to get a turbo simply did not know how to get them going hard. I can also say that a na six ford can hold its own as a tough streeter against most stock turbos on six psi up to say 80 kays. Where the speed limit normally is. Lastly a good exhaust on a na six sounds far better than the sound a fan. Horses for courses .Enjoy what you have and stop bagging others cars just because you have no manners
  10. Fg xr6 na runs 14.3 to 14.7 .
  11. A tune on a na will sort out the nigglies associated with your current setup. To tune a car well it needs a dyno to safely take it to high speeds . The more mods done to the car the more it will benefit from a tune. If your car is running too rich or too lean these can be rectified .the result should be more acceleration and a few more killowatts up top. On the street you should be able to beat most xr6t's off the mark to say 60 kays provided they dont spool up first. The reason for this is that the na ford has higher compression than the xr6t 10.5 :1 as opposed to around 8:1 on turbo cars. Until their boost comes in youre in front. Most of all have fun and enjoy the car. 400 rwkws is great for the track but it is power that needs to be respected or it can quickly turn bad. There are alot of nice guys on this forum but some are quick to belittle the na six. Just remember one other thing..if you modify your ba in na form it will make more power than the xr6t's once boosted. It will need less boost and produce more power. Cheers and most all have fun Stav
  12. Do you know of the one that ran a 12 second pass in na form? Full street trim?
  13. Thb bury is the car kit from ford. Its just been peddled to ford at probably a cheap price and then rebadged. I am expecting a mass wave of failures in the coming years and will stay in business just to clean up / cash in on the mess. On another note..why dont you bypass ford and deal direct with thb.Chances are youll save a small fortune. Also you wont have the inconvenience of having to drag your car to a dealership each time it stops working.Mobile service technicians are way more convenient
  14. Good going Dougie..wont be long before you beat all of those blokes:)
  15. No i6 of hundreds I know of has run 13.7s from ea or ba in na form with daily driven tyres .Stripped out and mickey tompsons then maybe.
  16. In Queensland there are a few blokes pulling 13's in e series lighter cars. The bloke you know of is the second bloke I have heard of with Jimmy Mocks products that has actually ran a 13 second passand 100mph. The other car is a manual. He too ran 100mph. For an auto to run a 13 at 100mph he must be getting 60 footers of 1.7 to 1.8. To do this he must absolutely have a hi stall torque convertor in the range of 3500 too 4500.If I chose to go 4000 in the stall department I can only imagine the difference from a 2500 stall convertor.A 1.8 60 footer should see me into the 13 second bracket with a car that weighs some 200 killograms more than the ef you are talking about.
  17. A turbo charger is simply a cetrifugal supercharger driven by exhaust. The power reduction from modern superchargers is very minute .
  18. I have done the sums and if I were to supercharge my wagon I can try a 14psi vortech and should see around 300 rwkws. It would cost me around the 5 k mark wih me installing it. I already have big pump, regulator and valve springs to take 800 lift.
  19. Honestly..I never portmatched as I went to a mechanic where I helped install the head in a day.I needed the car for work. I am going to remove the intake soon as I would like to get everything spoton
  20. Say there is a 250 rwkw turbo car vs a 250 rwkw supercharged car.. On the street the supercharged car will destroy and spit out the turboed car no problems. If you like having to spool up a turbo and then taking off then it is fine .By comparison the supercharger will have you frying tyres without the lag of a turbo. You will get boost as soon as you floor it. A turbo relies on the exhaust to drive the turbine and by that time..kaswoosh!! Youre gone with the blower !! At the drag strip I can only assume the times will be similar though.
  21. These guys went fast in the rain and they smashed. The risks of going too fast are obvious. They are very very lucky to be alive. I think they have been given a second chance in life. I don't have a powerful car but I do my best to not underestimate the potential dangers even at 40 kmph. I think that most people don't think about the reality of a smash until it finds them. Whatever financial and legal hits they get it will be no comparison to what happened to them. Driving a powerful car is great for normal driving but if you can't respect/control power then you take a big risk....losing it. Wsid is the safest and best choice for racing. The media should leave wsid alone. Those guys do a great job at getting a vast majority of speedsters off the street and onto the track. They cannot be responsible for behaviour of people outside those gates. My two bobs worth there.
  22. Ford dont have a clue. Sounds like you have a connection problem somewhere there. How old is the alarm?
  23. Hi mate. It was great to meet you on the night and make a new friend. I am really happy for you that you ran that terrific time. There were other cars boasting big bannanas that could not even come close!! Well done and most of all have fun Stav
  24. I was going to because the wife is a bit scared but she knows I love it.Yep I am sticking with the car. I have been tuning it myself and realised that there is a bit more to come just from tuning. Also there are a few little mods for me to do which may see the wagon closer to the 13's.
  25. Well just for an update. The wagon ran 14.241 tonight at wsid. Still na...hehe
