+1. Most (lucky) drivers of Veyron's claim it doesn't feel close to as fast as it goes (unbelievable figures) - linear performance is best for the street. ps: my first car was a Subary RS turbo - that thing nearly snapped my neck off with its ridiculous performance curve, but felt bloody fast though......ha ha)

Aami still by far the cheapest for me at $750 for rating 2 due to accident two years ago. RACT not far behind but had a $500 excess comapred to $350. I think most of the rates guys mentioned above above aren't too bad - considering what (mostly slower) imports and Euro owners have to pay!! (sometimes with massive excesses also)

Mate, maybe take out the rear and replace with a resi/hotdog - old tech maybe, but might give the result you are looking for? Just an idea so its not too loud and might fix your fitment issue at the back. (I run a small twin centre 2.5 Magnaflow with twin rear resis - sounds great to me and still looks stock which I like personally.)

I don't think Ts "feel as fast" as what they are actually doing figures/power wise. Not saying they aren't (they are rockets!) just how they feel to drive. I doubt the OP has a problem at all - just a sensible power curve for performance/reliability. Ts (tuned or otherwise) don't feel as fast as GTR/Sti/Evos etc IMO - down to weight/power delivery/ride height etc. Just my 2 cents and in agreance with Dre's point earlier.......if you have moved up to a T they would feel fast no doubt, if you come from fast cars previously (especially lighter) they don't in comparison.

Yes, maybe right mate....ha ha. Not sur eif 30 is old, but I certainly need more than one other seat. I'm really only pointing out that other "real" utes do the job for which they are intended far better than any XR6T/XR8/SS/Maloo etc - I like how sports utes look, but they really very useless for most people (hence the image!)

Brods, unfortunately there is a "gay/wanker" stigma to sports utes - rightly or wrongly! Might have something to do with the fact that Hiluxs/Navaras/Rangers etc do everything a "real" ute requires (other than accelerate) 10 times better than sports utes and can carry more than 1 other person!! I don't agree with Seduced. The Territory does not "completely" fill the void of the Falcon Wagon. Even the turbo Territory versions are crap to drive compared to the sedans, and combined with them being slower, ugly and with poor boot width space doesn't help...... Aaron - I drove a couple of turbo Mondeo wagons - you are spot on, very ordinary/boring to drive.......look OK sure, go OK and have much better "quality", but you made a much better choice overall with the SS SWagon.......

BA motors and gearboxes are not weak...... ha ha. In fact, treated well they should last almost forever (bar bad luck, or poor maintenance - which counts for most failures). Its only when extra power is poured in they don;t stand up. Compared to other brands on the road they are very strong. Edit - now I know he wants 400 reliably obviously FG/ZF is a far better option and worth the extra $$ no question at all

Nice machines lads, I'm envious. Unfortunately I moved on from desktops (need the space) years ago and there I no going back! (I also use a projector for my games on PS3, love it) Not meaning to hijack thread, as it is (sort of) about Skyrim! I am buying myself three games for XMas now I have more "time" - recently single so need to still have something under the tree....ha ha. Ive only got older games, so im thinking; BF3 SkyRim Uncharted 3 What do you guys reckon? Know gaming a personal thing but most people love the same "best" games like GrandTA, Metal Gear S etc (mates trying to get me to buy La Noire and Dark Souls instead, reckon they are better than all three above???)

PookeyM, understand where you are coming from. You are right, not enough games take full advantage of the PCs capabilities which is why so many just buy a console instead (rightly or wrongly), but if you want the best and are happy to pay for it, go for it (like anything in life) Stainless - I paid 1.6k for my laptop 6mths ago (Toshiba). I cant even play Assassins Creed Brotherhood on the minimum setting (too jerky, constantly refreshing etc) and that's a 12-18 mth old game!! Surely 1.6k is middle range just for non-PC gurus and you would expect it to play a game 18mths old on the minimum setting!! (my mates laptops struggle also just to keep up let alone come close to a PS3) Trust me, average PCs (unless tweaked for gaming) doesn't play at console level........

Do whatever you can to find someone (very) reputable. Guys on here travel states to go to Pitlane etc, almost always great reports. Otherwise, add another 5-8K to your "custom tune" price (to pay for a new engine after a rod explodes through the block after a dodgy tune.......which is why I still haven't tuned as I don't trust anyone in tas to do it)

That's interesting, the old 4 speeder in manual mode only changes if you refuse to once its hit the limit - not how far the pedal is pushed. I have driven a few Audis/BMWs recently and their "manual" modes are exactly NOT that - might as well just leave it auto as they do whatever they please regardless of gear selection!! ha ha

Huge call Stainless......that would want to be some computer 5yo ago! (looking at your picture of your current computer I guess it would have been!) Don't get me wrong guys, clearly PC is the way to go for the "best" - especially if you know what you are doing! But for the other 90% not "right" into games but still enjoy them (and don't want to spend $$) then a console is still an excellent option and preferable for excellent 'plug-and-play'..... Anyway, I might give this Skyrim a go - haven't played an RPG in years! (too many action/racing/sport games jave taken precedence....ha ha)

I prefer just to buy games for my PS3 now than PC, so much easier (just find it hard to get the games to work properly, then when I upgrade my PC they do, then a minute later the new games don't.....drives me mad! ha ha), but maybe that's just me.......

You will need to $$ tune if you do that, not a problem if that's what you intended. :sungum:

Michael, I've used sports mode 100% in the 4 speed for 180,000ks - hasn't killed it yet mate! Its extra power/poor maintenance that kills gearboxes, can't see how it would reduce life using "tiptronic" function at all.......and as the ZF is far superior to the 4 speed, I sincerely doubt it would affect that in the slightest either.

I do enjoy the company of men actually KV, have some great mates for beers, PS3 etc. The difference with me is that I don't insert anything of mine in them (like you do) when they bend over. ps: "Much more cleaner"........ha ha, brilliant KV you have really made my morning.

Saw "Fast and Furious 5" (or Fast Five) last night. I haven't really enjoyed the others that much (think I'm getting old...ha ha) but I throughly enjoyed this one..... The cars in it, sound effects and scenes in it were awesomely done I thought. I recomment it (still really bad acting of course!) ps: What I would give for just one day with the Koenigsegg CXX.... - what an awesome car!!

OP, just take centre-out for a cheap/good note. Then if you have the $$ etc to upgrade and prepared to fix things when they break, do a tune/cat etc if extra speed is impoartant. LuxJ, your BA must have been stuffed if you think the FG completely stock note is better than BA/BF.....mainly because I cant even hear the FG - maybe my ears have packed it in!!

XR09, you can change the tyre width (as long as the width is legal) and have no warranty issues whatsoever to an unrelated mechanical fault (such as the engine). Hence why many showroom cars can be upgraded to bigger/wider wheels from the factory........ Aaron, IMO any tuned car automatically voids warranty because its a "major" modifcation - but then Ford still cover in many cases purely out of goodwill/unaware if tuned!
