  7. Blown BA, Great job for organising this and also to MsAly for the photo shoot in Wonthaggi.... Weather pending, I think this will be a great day out by all. I'll bring along a digital camera too so that we can take heaps of pictures. I think a good one would be a group photo of all the members and then post them on the site........... I think the forecast for Sunday is rain, so maybe takeaway on Cowes would be the go... It might be a bit miserable, wet and cold for a BBQ this time of the year...... Especially since I'm bringing the familywith a 5 year old son and 11 month daughter.... What do you think........? dutchie

    Jack of the jack

There is something different with AU mags on a T.........bit like the Picnic add on TV.......... Something not quiet right...... MUST BE THE NUTS !!!!!!!!! dutchie
  9. Chips, Over Boost..............is this anything to worry about or a normal thing with a turbo......I mean, if it happens again, should I let Ford know??? cheers dutchie
  10. Damn lucky I reckon..........still if you had a receipt at the time of the finance, you would have been covered........ (I think)...... As for the premium, damn !!!!! O'K I'm a lot older.....in fact some 16 yrs older but my insurance is only $623 with AAMI. It pays to shop around........even with all my modes and an agreed value of $63K access of $700 (my choice)........to be paying $4K is shear madness..... Shop online too if I were you...... dutchie

    Geea's new mod

I know !!!!!!!!! You replaced the engine block with one from a Expensive Daewoo Barina. When you still on the air con, the car actually goes backward !!!!! Or what about replacing the rims with those from a mini......looks like a car needing to go on a diet....... Look forward to seeing it on the cruise...... Hope everyone will go round introducing themselves.... see you all on Sunday dutchie
  12. thanks for all the feedback guys.......... Its been greatly appreciated and I'm feeling more confidant it was a once off...... (I hope)........ dutchie
  13. Thanks MS700.......that's exactly what I'm doing with my Crowny now and trying to type this.......maybe I should go for a drive?? now that the wife and kids are all sleeping at the moment....... :violin: dutchie
  14. Thanks for the response but I'm tempted to wait until it happens again......... I was low in petrol with maybe 4 or 5 litres left in the tank.......maybe that had something to do with it...... however, since it has not happened again and I've driven it for almost another 100 kms, I might just wait until the next itme it happens...... So far my Blue baby is purring and no other problems......keep fingures crossed......especially compared with some other posts recently..... dutchie
  15. The other day whilst driving, I had a momentary loss of some power..........but it was such that the SSS (in auto mode) seemed to be lost for gears and as to what gear to be in and hence the loss of some power.........this lasted for about 3 seconds and once I stepped up to accelorate again, the gears seemed to adjust and power was regained...... This never happened before and I have not had it happen again since....... Now I have always driven manual and this is the first car I have with auto/SSS... Is this common in auto and can anyone please offer any advice.? The car is 3 weeks young and clicked nearly 1500kms already....... Should I mention this to Ford at my 3000km service as I'm hesitant that they might stuff it up further if there is no problem especially since it has not happened again. Like to have the forums view on this...... thanks heaps people dutchie
  16. hea Scotty, I would leave the wing on......... The car looks like a cheap XT with side XR6 skirts..... Without the wing, it sort of looks more naked.......like something is missing..... After a while, people will look at it and think that your are trying to do your XT model up to look like and XR6T??? Not the way to go I reckon...... Anyway, that's my two bits worth....... dutchie
  17. The SatNav was purchased from Johny Appleseed in melbourne but they also have a store in Brisbane..... I did a lot of research on this.......the problem with the inbuilt ones is that they stay in your car!!!! The Garmin is the new 60C range with car kit. You can use it as a car sat nav or use 2 AA batteries and have about 30 hours usage on it. when used as a portable navigation unit.........this is fantastic if you want to Geocache.......(worlds fastest growing adult treasure hunt...2.5 million players so far). The unit also has the Geocaching software built in.........this is a great game if you also have kids...... It has full color screen and when purchased with the Mapsource City Navigator V5, this unit is simply amazing......accuracy is down to approx 3 meters too...... The software in itself is amazing too as its a cross between, an Australian Melways, & Yellow pages........It actually lists my Fish & Chip shop as I drive past it and gives me the address as well as telephone number......bloody amazing I reckon..... You can also store 10,000 waypoints, about 500 routes and set it to choice shortest distance or quickest time Just a good, if not better then the inbuilt ones at over half the price..... Full Auto Routing too........not many units have that and a colour screen unless you spend over $2500..... Just read all the reviews on this little beast.......nearly everone gives it 5 out of 5...(same here)........even my boss has just purchased one this week..... Total cost was $750 for the unit, $80 for the car kit (dashbracket and charger), $350.00 for Mapsource City Navigator Australia V5 TOTAL COST $1180......well worth it..... hope this helps but really go and check them out......a few other websites were flogging them out for over $1700 total in Oz so Johnny Appleseed were the cheapest. They are on the net too....... dutchie
  18. Got to give me two bobs worth here......... How about ' Team Phurple" ??? Or even Team Grapela ? Team Ribeena??? Team Cadbury? Oh hell, I give up..........Go Blueprint !!!! dutchie
  19. Hi ByeSS and everyone else, Yes that was me and the family........funny thing was that my wife was asking me if you were a member of the XR6T site..............to which I happily responded....maybe??!! You coming on the drive to Wonthaggi and then Cowes? We have put our names down and looking forward to our first cruise......... As for the other feedback, the thingy on the dash is a Garmin 60C Sat Nav Unit with full routing. Good thing with this is that you can use it also outside when camping, hiking etc With the City Navigator V5 software, it becomes a total Oz wide Melways, yellowpages, White pages all in one......( I drove past our fish & chip show the other day and it listed the name of the chip place, address and telephone number......) Awesome unit...accurate to within 3 metres.......only had it 3 weeks, the week before I got the T and love this little gadget as much as my Ipod. The black strips on the corners of the car are rubber protectors. Our other car (Magna Sports has it also). We learnt our lesson with the car when we just purchased it new, some twit in the shopping centre misjudged the turn into the car park and scrapped the bumpers.....cost nearly $400 to fix....with these, the rubbers are $55 for 4 and last forever....also breaksup the colour a bit. As for the FPV badging, I thought I would add it since they half built the car in the first place...... enjoy dutchie
  20. I would also have to agree.......... Although I have only had my car for a fortnight, I have already clocked up 1500km's..... Keep this up and I'll easily clock up 40,000kms in my first 12 months.... I must say though that I have had the pleasure of owning numerous new cars over the past 15 years but the T would have to be the most comfortable and that includes my wife new Magna Sports, previously owned Nissan Bluebirds SSS, Nissan TRX as well as Nissan Pulsar SSS. dutchie :grininvasion:
  21. I cant see the photo's from the web....ummmmm Why is that? dutchie
  22. Hope you enjoyed the pic's !!!!!!!! dutchie
  23. Hi Turbo6, I got them with the car upon request......... But I think they cost $48 each if I remember correctly...... They form part of XR6 and then TURBO is underneath....identical to the rear ones... Ford cut the XR6 off them which forms part of the template and is easy enough to do.. Well worth it though..... Here are a few more pictures.... cheers dutchie
  24. Why dont my foto's come out from this site??? Help anyone?? thanks in advance dutchie
