  1. ive seen these lids, look very neat and very much easier on the pocket than ford
  2. well done mate, seems to be conservative, is it manual?
  3. the ba has the valve spring issue, one of the first things to change, the 5 speed manual and 4 speed auto being not very strong at all, my 2c worth is wait around a bit and save up for a bf with a 6 speed, while you will still have valve spring issues with early bf's the boxes are so much stronger and the 6 speed manual is so awsome!! once you get used to the standard power of the turbo and you find out what they can do and how little you really have to spend to do it you will be kicking yourself you didnt pour the extra few g's into a ute with a 6 speed box
  4. it says territory and utes.. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/FORD-TYPHOON-R-SPEC-19X8-Suits-AU-BA-BF-FG-/190577026318?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item2c5f46a50e
  5. looking at wheels2u ebay site, noticed that the rspec 19" wheels which are a copy have a load rating of 850kg!! if only they had the dark argents in a 19" not a 20".. do these sound like a good deal?? $1300 for 4..
  6. I used to work at a Expensive Daewoo dealership and I had heard of things like an exhaust voiding warranty on the engine and auto trans, a simple modification.. even though a hsv has more than 40kw more and same trans and engine.. only time I had anything like this was on a ve ss wagon that was lowered and needed a new strut, service manager actually told me that he wouldnt tell Expensive Daewoo that it was infact lowered.. id say its upto the dealership on what customer service they offer with warranty
  7. both the growler and the typhoon are tried and tested, as henz said the best option is a 4" turbo side intake, just depends on your needs and budget
  8. I have been reading around the forum about over boosting and what causes it, my question is IF I keep the exhaust stock standard, can I upgrade the intercooler, airbox, piping etc and get a constant result all the time or will the computer sense that things have changed and return any gains back to stock, I was considering upgrading the intercooler and piping and putting a growler airbox in and retain all the stock piping
  9. any updates on this absolute weapon??
  10. well im tossing up my options of just modding up what I already have or go for the f6 and maybe hold the resale and slowly mod it u the tough look of the f6 and also I have found on a couple of occasions the brakes on the ute sre.. well not very good.. so the upgraded brakes would be better.. it would be more of a cruising car than a performance weapon personally
  11. was there any major differences in the bf's other than cosmetic? I do love the bf2's though and whats the thoughts of the auto in the F6's? I have a manual in my ute but wouldnt mind the auto
  12. I have always wanted an F6 but never been able to get one, wondering if its worth selling my T ute and buying a F6?
  13. so basically your saying you need to introduce more of a restriction into the exhaust to regulate and control the overboosting problem? I suppose replacing the dump pipe with the stock one would help and it is good to over 300rwkw, and isnt valve springs necessary to keep higher boost pressures under control too? if your planning on running 10psi or higher you may be better off running a colder plug but then I havent read the previous post regarding this
  14. it would depend on whether your capa tune was made to suit the exhaust you bolted on or just the standard tune they send you, to do anything regarding major changes to these exhausts or even intakes requires a tune of some sort to keep everything in order and to stop over boosting
  15. any exhaust mod to these cars would require a tune of some sort to be on the safe side if nothing else, taking a restriction out of it will cause the turbo to spool up quicker
  16. I am wondering if anyone has done a tune for 95 octane fuel, I know the power and boost levels will be lower than using 98 but its half an hour drive to the nearest 98 octane fuel distributor. the car is stock currently but I plan on putting a growler air box and a full exhaust on it. the car is a daily driver also and im not after a huge power figure, just want to get the most out of what I can readily get. the car is a 07 BF2 xrt ute
  17. hasnt had the rocker cover off recently, ive heard that they can be damaged if not removed properly
  18. Do I need a tune if I get a turbo back exhaust with hi flow cat? I have been told I will but I dont understand why
  19. This might be a stupid question but does the process west hot side plumbing made to suit the factory setup? Cheers
  20. I have a general understanding of what an intercooler does and why they are used, I have 2 questions though: 1. If you upgrade the standard cooler on an xrt with nothing else will it increase the fuel burnt at all times due to the air being more dense? 2. Will a higher octane fuel be required if the cooler was added, for example going from 95 - 98 octane I am unsure myself, thanks for the help
  21. If the ABOVE is correct then how can nizpro have their package deals fully emmissions tested?? It is still illegal according to this even though they are doin the right thing
  22. welcome to the forums mate, both very nice utes!!
  23. haha biggest thing ive had on mine is a boat and trailer on it
  24. I thought it was legal as long as the lowest point of the vehicle is above 100 mm?? maybe wrong but would be a better option than using the aluminium ones
