Thanks mate. Yeah swapped sides Funny finding out how much people don't like fords after telling them I'm swaping. They make it sound like I'm getting a Skoda or something Especially a couple GM engineers I was chatting to this week Can't wait.

The other day I was contacted by a person from FPV letting me know that their bumper supplier has promised to have the bumpers delivered by late december and that FPV won't be going on Christmas break until it is resolved. So hopefully I get my Typhoon before Christmas as promised

Apparently if your car has been custom tuned on 98 and you run an ethanol fuel it will lean out.

I did not respond like a goose, a suggestion would have been something like " I'm not sure, but as they are both T56 boxes you could try following this link to a web site and getting your hands on some more detail somewhere else, as there is bugger all on this site anyway." I'm "pretty sure" you said it would fit. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> And that's what email is for. He could have sent one and asked them. They could possibily be developing one for the fords.

Nothing stands out as bad as total lack of product knowledge, CSV LS1. The LS1 runs a 12" clutch with a high style diagpragm and a 26 spline hub. The Turbo runs a 10.5" clutch with an intermediate style diagpragm and a 23 spline hub. About as much chance of it fitting as the crank from the LS1. Ben. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> No need to respond like a goose. It was just a suggestion since they are both T56's. Obviously I'm no expert, just trying to help out.

I'm pretty sure this clucth will fit as it's a T56 just like the holdens but the clutch by textralia has apparently been selling up a storm in the states and is building in popularity here. It has a special material on both the clutch and flywheel which has a high level of bite. Apparently no other clutch runs this material and is patent pending. Here's a thread on the ls1 forums with peoples opinion OPINIONS

Does anyone know of any LPG Dedicated BA's being custom tuned. Would be interesting to see how much power they can pump out compared to the petrol version. BTW: No I'm definetley not thinking of buying one

It'd add about 200kg of downforce overall, but where would you pick one up? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I'm sure it wouldn't be too hard. Ford would probably help out to get some publicity out of it

Now this is all starting to make sense to me and I can see why the power figures are higher than expected. Looking at the dyno graph I see: 1) Ambient temperature is at 25C and the air inlet temperature is 40C. This will cause the dyno dynamics software to build in a compensation factor and you then end up with an artificially high power figure. 2) The air fuel ratio is running leaner than ideal for a turbo engine keeping in mind long term engine durability. The air fuel ratio should not exceed 12:1/0.82 lambda particularly in the higher rpm range. Food for thought and I'm in no way putting down the edit product rather just trying to make sense of the power figures posted and discussing what air fuel ratio is considered safe for a turbocharged XR6T engine. The dyno sheet for my run reads: BP:100.5 RH:25 AT:35 IT:35 RR:015 TN:5.002 CK:950 Car pulled 260.7rwkw Doesn't look like there was any temperature correction there as the IT and AT were the same. That day the temp peaked at 38 deg C. I wonder how much compensation the dyno made there. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I would really like to see a response from Peter with that question. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Well I would like to see all of the tuning data, air fuel ratio, boost pressure, and injector duty cycle before making any comment, I would also want to see 3 dyno runs at 30 second intervals, then you will see the REAL STORY in terms of power output. Peter <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Wouldn't a car with the standard intercooler have touble keeping the air temps down after a few consecutive runs? That wouldn't give a clear result.
