    Coil Packs

"Ford Australia alleges the Jefferson Ford dealership, which also owns City Ford and President Ford, has been passing off mufflers, batteries and other spare parts sourced elsewhere as genuine Ford parts." So turns out I wont be buying those then. bugger it. What brand are the factory ones? I had a look at mine today and they appear to be Visteon

    Coil Packs

that's the idea ratter....Ill try one other dealer and if they are still crapply priced Ill head offshore for them....was hoping someone may have a connection to a ford dealer from the forums...would save emailing all the dealers. Am looking at these though so hopefully they are legit and are available http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Genuine-OEM-Ignition-Coil-Ford-Falcon-LTD-territory-BA-BF-6-pack-BAF12A366A-/120838063104?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item1c22828400

    Coil Packs

Hi guys I need to get a new set of coil packs due to my 06 f6 (tuned) misfiring a bit under load as well as the speedo cutting out when under heavy load. Have looked up older forums here and it would appear genuine seem to work best. So I gave my local ford dealer a call and asked for a price - NZ$189 each + gst.... Is there a club advertiser who sells these or someone have contacts? I just think $189 each is a bit over the top when I heard they can be around the AUS$70
  8. lol...he missed paintin the rotor.... :D
  9. yeah paint is an easy option.....but I think powder coating does look alot better
  10. yeah got one at work....im just hoping calipers dont get hot HOT
  11. Yeah just a bit worried about caliper heat though....anyone got an idea of what sort of degrees they can get up to...?
  12. you painted or powdercoated?
  13. cheers for that isnt it advised to wait a certain period of time if they are painted? Heres an example of a powder coated caliper...looks awesome IMO
  14. hi everyone anyone had experience with powder coating calipers? Does it work? Is it a good idea? Heat an issue? or is it best to just paint them. I want them done once and done right..

    Dba 4000 Rotors

Thanks for that I know the previous owner had the "turbo oil feed blocking problem" and had it fixed at an agent of DBA...and to me they look like the 2 peice 5000's but Ill take the wheel off and have a good look this weekend Would running 4000's on the rear with twin pot be overkill? Was thinking 4000 on rear and 5000 on front...

    Dba 4000 Rotors

hey guys gotta get new rotors and pads soon...quick question - I have 6 pot brembos up front of my bf f6 which are a two peice..is there any easy way to tell brand etc? not too sure if they are the factory rotors... car is at 150,000km which is why im thinking they could be DBA's and havent had the wheel off yet for a nosey..thought id check here first
  17. once it comes on boost? shouldnt be hardly any lag....what psi you running?? may need to give that solenoid a clean
  18. How about upper north island? Torque Performance in Auckland - highly recommend and well worth the drive to Auckland
  19. How would I check if it is the front bushes? just a visual check?
  20. Same problem here, my earls kit leaks too and unfortunately its slowly dripped all over the drive belt etc.... throwing it out and never using Earls stuff again. They are a large enough company with alot of experience and should have the brains to figure out this system has a higher chance of failure than screw fittings. When buying an Earls kit you expect quality espeically for the price.
  21. nope, nothing to do with heater unit. The ticking is coming from the front right wheel when turning left. First thing that popped into my head was brake line touching something it shouldnt. Other ideas people have come up with are disc brake not properly secured, loose bolt etc Not a CV joint noise. Its the outter wheel area. LOL no not the indicator diff bush? any other ideas? wheel bearing?
  22. Hi guys A week or so ago I noticed a ticking noise when turning left while driving. Sounds like a stone stuck in the tyre but more metalic. Yes I did check for stones first :D . I must point out that it happens while moving. Not the stand still steering rack slip problem. Symptons: Only ticks while turning left when driving. Driving right is fine Only happens after driving for awhile - never happens start away Ticking sounds like a stone stuck in wheel but more metalic. Ticking noise happens on every 1 revolution - tyre or brake most likely involved Braking while it happens doesnt stop the ticking The more you turn the louder it can become Car: 06 BF typhoon lowered with brembo 6 pots Any ideas? ...steering rack? wheel bearing? I have given it a visual check and cant see anything like scuf marks etc. I keep thinking maybe the brake line is touching something like a wheel weight
  23. Got the same problem......it is definately the wing mirror whistling. You can slightly lift the wing mirror and it will stop.
  24. Been modded? my bf f6 has been modded etc and I get the same thing..... best to just use tiptronic for when you put your foot up it
