my mate wants to buy my bf t ute exhaust for his ba xr6 na ute just wondering if its the same to fit as the sedan(just need a Y piece made up)? also if any one has a pic of the Y piece? is there any other mods etc needed to fit the T exhaust to the na? cheers guys

yea I brought the nulon hd 80-140 it says its for fpv's etc and meets the ford standard in there manual but ford say it needs a friction modifyer with there recomended oil think it was mobil, the nulon says the extra ford friction modiflyer is not needed, I know the castrol one doesnt need it either, the nulon and castrol were the same price I chose the nulon coz that's wat I use for the engine

use the same penrite as trevs not the sin atf theres 2 penrites for the zf one is better think its called atfx1

I would not bother the differance would barely be noticeable if any, hi tech are a good brand, maybe if you had a race engine with cams,head work etc etc ever hp matters then maybe but not for your aplication, spend the money on a tune or something were you will notice a differance imo

jono- did you need to use the g70 in the diff? or can the oil be used as is with no aditives like the castrol saf-xa?

what oil dd you choose to use xtb?

or you could have a dionostics check on the dyno mine was $60 and find out straight away what the problem is instead of guessing and buying unneeded parts, I would imagine coils wouldnt be cheap

whats the minimum size rim you could fit 275's too? will they fit the standard 18s think there an 8 or 8.5?

my mates vs did the exact same thing, it was the cat, I think it would either be that or the coil packs as my wrx did the same when it hit boost, replaced all the coil packs and it was fine, you can always chuck it on a dyno that will tell you, that's wat I did with my rex, everyone told me it was my AFM they were $390 im glad I didnt buy one as it wasnt that

sounds like a nice combo, mine just had a crow stge 2 cam, paceys, lukey system, au intake+k&n, 5spd conversion, 4,11 lsd, wasnt bad considering the motor had 230000kms on her

if your doing WOT past a cop flames is the least of your worries

dunno mate ud properly only get mid 200s with the standard one, but as you know you could be getting 300+ with your mods

there are a few ppl not useing a cat well a gutted one, have you ever had your car check for emmisions on the road? I have never or never even hurd of that happning in sa either way ull have to do something with your cat weather it be a highflow or gutted as with the your above mods it will hold you back quit a bit

standard fg xr6t's rev limit @ 6250 cant see why it would be a problem for a b series to be increased to 6000 then, unless the fg has a better oil pump?

if it were possible id assume ud only be able to get a couple of psi higher before some sort of boost cut kicked in, best off leaveing it till you can afford it, these cars seam to be hitt and miss when you start playing with them, unlike an older turbo car like my rex I put a massive fmic, big exhaust and pumped 16psi thru it with no tuneing, didnt get it on the dyno for a year AFR's were fine, xr6t's are alot more advanced and more computer controlled

depends if the tuner had a fiddle, the bloke that tuned mine said he plays with the settings on the 4spd but wont with the 6spd, im sure theres a good reason for this

ALL bf springs are better than ba ull have no problems getting into the 300s with them

what had you done to the ef? 6 or 8? I had a ef 6 made 134rwkw was manual with 4.1s and lsd was quit a fun car but didnt have much up top end
