  1. I gotta pull the pin on this one. I have to work and will be a long day.
  2. I forgot to mention you also have to remove the rear light. You have to squeeze the cover along to the 2 longest sides and it pops off. There are 2 screws under it.
  3. You need to remove the whole roof lining to undo the lighting unit and get up to the aerial. Its a straight forward job and just a matter of removing a few screws and 2 clips. You will need to remove the grab handles, the sunvisors, the rear hooks, 2x push in clips, the A-pillar trim and the rear side window surrounds which also includes removing the upper seatbelt bolt. If I remember correctly you will need a philips head and a torque bit.
  4. I have the Revelation gauges with the custom XR6T faces, the same ones that Top End Audio do. Boost running off of the BOV, Oil pressure using the sandwich plate oil filter adapter and a WB AFR using a new sensor in the exhaust and an aftermarket controller to read and send the signal to the gauge.
  5. Spotted some chump in a black G6ET with those wanky ZAA plates turning right off of Samford Rd up towards Ferny Hills this arvo. I didnt have the ute, was running the Ranger.
  6. Yeah that's what I thought. Was going to get them to do that today but wanted to check before I went ahead and then it be wrong. For the $20 or so it will cost for a hole and some weld Ive had enough dicking around with this bloody gauge.
  7. I read the online bung installation guide and it appears as long as its before the cat and in a position that wont be effected by condensation then it would be OK. Would be better next to the stock sensor but this is just becoming a big pain in the arse. The exhaust shop were trying to off load me an Xforce dump. I was under the impression that that would require a tune, but they were saying it would not with the stock cat still in place. So options are get the bung welded further down stream before the cat, get a new dump, or get the bung done properly at an expensive shop which will be pointless as I will probably be going down the mods route in the next 6 months anyway.
  8. Got the LC1 all hooked up and everything works, just need some further advice on the bung and the exhaust. The factory dump is a cast unit and the local exhaust place said they cant weld the bung in. Can the bung be located down further towards the cat or is the guy I spoke to just being lazy? Cheers
  9. Unfortunatly being an FG there is no seperate TC button. I guess I will just hook the power up to the Ciggy lighter.
  10. Not yet, its just sitting waiting for my next oil change. Wont be long though next week.
  11. So is this the unit you have What are on the ends of the 2 wires? And to be sure the end of my yellow wire depicted above, where does that go to hook this up to my gauge. Cheers
  12. Im easy just not August 27th as its Bledisloe.
  13. Thanks mate, makes sense. Will this work LINK, the Innovate product is referenced to in the instructions.
  14. Thanks mate, Can you give me an overview as to what it all means? Most of that goes over my head, also what do I need to buy, theres a couple of differnt things there.
  15. So its just a black GT with black raccoon eyes? Just enough sticker pack although does get big brakes. To bad they didnt do the concept car from the motorshow. Still they will sell everyone one of these and call it a success, but I think all 125 will be sold to people who would have bought a GT anyways.
  16. I have a a Wideband AFR gauge the I need some info on to get it installed. My car is going in for a service at RDP in the next few weeks so would be perfect for them to do the last of my gauges whilst its there. Ive got everything hooked up just need a signal from somewhere. Heres a picture of the instructions From what I understand I will need a new WB oxygen sensor for the exhaust, but whats involved and what else do I need? Is it as easy and hooking the yellow wire up to the new sensor or is there more to it? Cheers
  17. Also check the idler pulley and tensioner. Sounds stupid but my vibration has been fixed by replacing those items.
  18. I just got a Speco oil filter adapter, that's what they call them. Part number 547-53, has 22mm thread and a 1.5mm pitch. Got it ordered in from supercheap. Was $70 odd, thought that was a bit steep but the part looks good and comes with all but one port blocker. Apparently repco used to stock the part as standard but its now an order only part and comes a bit more expensive.
  19. Just tried the lights wired into the power so lights are on all the time with ignition, dont think its to bad so may just leave it like that.
  20. If it was $100 then that's fine, but everyones posts on gauge installs are $400-$500, someone else had a quote of $750. Ive got them in and the 3 power cables and 3 lighting cables connected into single wires. Will see if theres someone local that can just hook up to a 12v lighting circuit.
  21. Yeah ive used the ciggy lighter for power and earth just wondered if there was anywhere better. Ive taken the shroud off from around the steering column but cant distinguish whats what. Dont really want to be cutting things without a heads up especially with the airbag. May just have to run a cable from the headlight wiring direct.
  22. Can anyone point me in the direction of a wire I can tap into for Lighting my gauges in an FG? From my understanding the B series had access to a button for ?foggies? that you could take the 12v dash lighting from, but where can I get it from on an FG? Im taking 12v ignition power from the Ciggy lighter (blue wire), I hope that's right but where do you think a good earth connection is whilst we are here? Cheers
  23. Does anyone know how to install gauges? I picked up a set and want to hook them up myself but could do with someone whos a little thirsty to supervise. I got boost, oil pressure and a wideband A/F ratio. Its more so for the electrical side of things.
