heres the picture in my head...you get the idea...im no wizz with photoshop... hey just a thought but if this came into fruition for someone they could use the wheels from a pre au and they would line up beautiful!

when you go to install tune before it begins the download it comes up with modify parameters... what have people done to these parameters?
-
I just took a quick look at my mates bug eye 1880

have a capa flash tune2. many modifications can be made but it is easy to do it wrong. can I get some posts from people who have tinkered with their flash tune2 and gotten good returns? global spark independent spark ranges auto shifts etc etc etc... basically if you have done any thing to a flash can I get you to please post it up on this forum and let us know what your outcome was/how did it go...?

spoke to a custom body fab specialist in my area and he said he would get another pair of quarters and as he was around at my place at the time I showed him the custom vent style ones from the blits page from above, what he would do is mount the vented ones, cut the wheel arch lip out of the originals, join the 2 with the cut lip leaning out as far as you would like to flare it.then with styrofoam, stick it to the car, smooth it to the shape you would be after, fibreglass it,smooth it,pop the mould, clean it up,reinforce it with more layers of kitty hair, then give it the final smooth down and paint and fit.the inner guards will still line up as it is just a guard extension primarily and the extension would have a moulded base. unfortunately as I had expected it is an expensive excersise but hopefully theres someone out there with some cash that I have helped here.

hmmm... has crossed my mind but I found out that wrx sti's way around the 1870kg mark today ...shocked to hear it but I guess that awd system ways a bit. so would it work? I think the tunel would be an issue... im not phased really I like to slip and slide but it was goin through my head so I splurged it up here.

when speaking to a customer that came to my work just recently I was told that they had a ford territory turbo that was no longer needed as a stock family car so some modifications had begun. now I am not familiar with the territories at all so please be gentle with comments. it was said that lowering the territory would lead him to troubles so the company doing the work opted for xr6t suspension setup. so I ask the question...only because I have wondered about the possibilities since the talk... being that xr6t components fit the territory, could territory parts fit the xr6t?in terms of the drive train...the all wheel drive system! the thought gives me butterflies!imagine an sti badge on the car for kicks and there being a reason for it at the same time! could it be that we could be on to a weapon creating platform...? remember: if anyone has any please post away.

thanks guys am going to talk to a local dyno shop, get all the figures and throw them up here for a quick look.he is local but he doesnt have any interest in playin with our style of toys.he will get the figures for me then I can go about taking the correcting actions.my tune is around 3 grand away - about 600 for a hdi cooler from ebay and around 700 at a guess for injectors then around 500 for valve springs and around 900 for a tune at a guess. so I wont be tuning in the next 3 months. my car is awesome to me but my house comes first.if it sh*ts itself ill just have to take a walk to work. :-(

what readings are good?what should I aim for?
-
any fibre glass or carbon fibre fab guys out there that make such things?
-
what figures should I be aiming for? stoich fuel ratio is 14.7 so is a good rich ratio like 11 or the other way around like 17.7 or ... im not sure what figure to aim for...a friend of mine has a wide band gauge im going to try and get my hands on,if not there is a good customer of mine through repco has a dyno steup.

If, like me you would occasionally like to (how some people say: wog it up vl spec) and get a little 'dose' going on (sorry this is a little cheesy but just saw the opportunity to do something different), as we have said before - for sh*ts and giggles - there is another way to do a dose pipe I found today. the original way is fine,we dont run these things all the time like this but I may have come across away that if you would like to do this you can. I have tested this out tonight and will try it out again tommorrow as to know whether this is cold enough air or not. some points to consider (not attacking the original, the creator of that gave me the inspiration for this and I have had fun playing around with setups.) 1/. this utilises a short pipe intake, admittedly it is not as short as the previous way of just going straight up behind the powersteer resevoir but... 2/. it is on the intake side - lower temperature. 3/. the pod cost me $55 from repco part number knre0930 as opposed to I went to super cheap, being that the pic from the 'dose' pipe we previously have seen on these forums has a 'calibre' pod filter on it so them being the retailer of calibre I started there and found the following prices: pod $32 90 degree stainless pipe $36 silicon sleeve $13 im guessing the original clamps can be used but a clamp is around $4 so 2 or 3 of those depending on whether the pod had one in its pack or not. totals: $93 as opposed to $55 4/. the other setup places the pod behind the powersteer resevoir, over the exhaust manifold, in front of the exhaust shield where I guess the heat creeps up from when stopped - eg: traffic lights...(heat, heat, heat - bad, bad, bad) the setup I have done here places the pod away from as much heat as I could with as short a pipe as possible. 5/. doesnt leave the crossover pipe with nothing left to do. 6/. utilises a bigger pod as previously mentioned I have used a large k&n unit here. so at a guess you are able to use a better named product. im sure I could keep listing this but so far the plan is to run this for some fun. hope you like it and get some enjoyment out of it...hey we have turbos...lets hear em!!! please let me know if there is good points/bad points that you find. (plus im beginning to become attatched to the look of it...) (also I run a 10psi flash and my speco boost gauge reads 10psi normally and it still runs it so I havent lost any due to any factors such as heat as yet - day test tommorrow.) please comment... be a little nice though with your criticisms. I think its viable at the moment... pics of the setup so far... another thing, it gets rid of the convoluted tube between the air-box and the crossover pipe. also a few opinions, my gf and I have been chatting about the state of my air fuel mixtures. my power mods are as follows... fitted a 3.5 into 4 inch dump with 2 inch wastegate pipe turbo not ported flapper still standard k&n panel f6 cold air intake and factory otr then listed this to capa and got the tune sent to me. re-flashed to the capa tune then removed rear muffler (knocked boost back down to 10) fitted 200 cell cat (knocked boost back down to 10) always run caltex shell or bp 98 octane fuels to keep up the required goods to the motor. and now playing with this pod set-up have built 4spd auto, kaaz 2 way diff with 3.9:1 gears and a few other bits that I don't think will effect air/fuel. I'm just wondering, as I have just continued to re adjust boost back down to 10psi every time it has altered with each mod, around about what mixture id be running at. approximates would be fine, I don't expect it to be exact. I just don't have a wide band air fuel to check...I'm just over protective of my baby I guess.I just like to know that it is safe...ish as probably read in other forums she gets her big tune-up in June so I just wondered for now if I'm doing ok by my 'T'.
