  1. Mick I notice you mentrioned you used a bit of 3" tube to join the two flexible pipes. Do you need to order another flexible intake tube as well as items below or is it included in one of them BAT 9C676 A Duct from under h/light to air box $45.68 BAT 9626 A bracket that secures air box to skirt $43.76 BAT 9a612 A Actual air cleaner box $47.01 F50Z 9601 Air cleaner element $60.96 F80Z 9626 AA Clamp that secures lid to air box $25.23 BAT 9A628 A The lid of the air bos $19.44 Thanks
  2. In the Magazine article it talks about how the removal of heaps of pipe has delivered better response and less lag.... that's more than just a discussion of equivalent kw. As stated the kit forms the basis for much more. Its a very well engineered approach Each to his own, depends on what your after
  3. Thanks for that...great info. I did enjoy the coverage of your gear in a recent Ford Performance mag. You have put lots of effort into your offerings and it pays off. Another great choice
  4. Great... Would love to hear what products he represents and why I would like to buy them.... More choice is always good
  5. Peter As per Falchoon's comment I am interested in the ways the interceptor can be wired. I have seen how it is done near the box under the bonnet, but hbehind the dash sounds much more stealth and far more appealing. Your thoughts please
  6. I have to say I greatly appreciate the input from both Peter and Lachlan over the many threads they have contributed to. They as do many others have clearly shown that they represent suppliers, fitters etc and as such you apply your filters appropriately. You also give them credibility re talking about their kit. Neither , however, have spent time picking apart the claims of others. Even when they have talked about competitors offerings it has been good basic discussion and any negatives have related to fitters/fitting rather than base technology. I cant see this however with our contributor from Nizpro, many posts picking and questioning without a hint of who he was representing. If he had at least made comment and included his allegiance in it we would have given it like respect and may have been posting questions re the Nizpro offerings.
  7. As Falchoon said, I added just the Xr8 under headlight breather adapted to the Xr6 Airbox. Seems to breath a bit easier through the range but no real dyno numbers. Would be interested to know if full Xr8 kit is better ?? Try thread below for pics and more detail...very easy to do and almost invisible to most onlookers. http://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/index.ph...7&hl=xr8+airbox
  8. Sounds great. Do you know if Chiptorque have resolved the full throttle shift issues with the auto box yet. Read in other posts it wont change up in some gears under full throttle.
  9. GP spoke of something similar at the recent Ford visit. A luxury XR6T to Ghia spec was on their hit list. Dont know how long that means before it is available.
  10. Craig Hall did a great color match on my XR6T front bar a few months back, could not have been more pleased. Will AAMI decide where it goes ? Last year with my other car I got the quotes myself for AAMI then presented them to them to decide. Strange (NOT) they chose the cheapest. Luckily I had worked the quotes so the guys I wanted was cheapest.
  11. Cant make it this afternoon, but the guy at belconnen seemed good to me. He re did one of my windows as it had a slight mark in it, with no questions. Another was done fairly cheaply after I put a screwdriver rip up the tint... See how you get on and If it turns out they still dont believe it can be done I could get out there on Friday.
  12. No problem...let me know if you need to
  13. Window tinters will vary how close they go to the top edge of window glass (due to concerns of peeling) but on the side edge they can get it under the seal. On mine XR6 Solartint (Belconnen) had no problems geting close to the edges.... Nothing looks worse than seeing a section of window not tinted as it stands out from both inside and out.....your eye seems to be drawn to it. Sound to me like they are using a template that is too small or if cutting on car they are taking the easy way out and making it a bit smaller for ease of application once they move it from outside to inside of glass. I would be asking for it to be done again or removed....
  14. Sorry to hear that aaronmihe.....I have had my front bar done to correct a couple of unwanted reworks (one from a coppers log in a car park). Yours did not happen in the Jaycar carpark in Fyshwich did it. Was driving past yesterday and the sound of pain (crash) was heard and I though I saw a blueprint beast. If it was, that's a bit of a coincidence
  15. I think the Wagons days are near an end. The Territory is what Fords R&D has gone into as a replacement for both the Wagon as well as a new market segment as well
  16. Come on.....that's not totaly correct. It was Jamal who said it, before GP turned up. He was like the warm up act. He asked if we liked the new silver and then said he thought it replaced Mercury Silver. At that point many of us realised we may have true collactables on our hands. But going from the number of Red cars being built while we were there so may you Ross. :-) Regards
  17. At the ford tour GP stated that the brake issue is in hand. New cars wont have it as they have a new caliper in place that is sligtly more flexible as well as a few other running changes. For existing cars Ford has forked out big dollars getting most large dealers good "on car " machining gear to rectify. The on car machine plus a few mods is meant to resolve. However I still love my premiums....but at least if you get the normals you wont have to worry as much as before
  18. It was a top event, lots of great people and the tours were fantastic. Enjoyed muchly by both myself and 2 sons. Did not do the GOR buy am sure you all would have had a great time. Thanks for organising guys, greatly appreciated.
  19. I have the same issue with wind noise. Have had the sunroof adjusted by Hollandia and it made it a bit better. Fords view was the windscreen was set too low so they opted to take it out and move it up a few mils....however they broke it and ended up putting in a new one.... Both these have made it a bit better but there is still a noise there due to wind flow over the top of screen and sunroof. At least it is not too load. Tire noise is often worse on couse road surfaces
  20. I did the same mod on the weekend BAT9C676A TUBE AIR CLNR INLET $59.95 from McGrath Ford 6006 100MM PVC - PVC Connector $15.50 from Bunnings It certainly helps with the engine ...feels a bit crisper and quicker on uptake. No great increase in intake sound and it looks like stock Reg Craig
  21. The APS visit on Friday sounds good...count me in please Craig
  22. Falchoon Look forward to seeing the scan then . Could not find anything through Google on it so will be interested in what is on brochure regards
  23. Falchoon does it replace the dash top panel on the BA....? Or is it just a pod that you sit somewhere on dash If it is a replacement panel color coded etc $200 is a bit high but if its hust a pod its way high regards
  24. Sykes The spade connectors are available at most auto shops, jacar or even probably at kmart. They are often red and have a crimp connector on the end. If you dont have a crimp tool, again for 10-15 bucks an entire kit with crimp tool and lots of different bits would be the go.
