I never said chuck money at Solicitors, but have a chat. First 30 mins free and find one that has no win, no pay.. Pretty quick way to find out if you have a case. Good luck champ and let us know how it goes..

LOL.... Here it is chump... They sacked based on performance and then offered a new contract (wages only, nothing to do with performance) Abuse of the system, blind freddy could see through it and any court would rulle in favour.. My opinion...

Tab, you run your own business? Or are you a manager?? You need a reality check...
  4. Black F6 replied to XRDOSE's topic in Off-Topic
In saying all that.. I wouldn't have signed the contract you did.. A bit open for my liking..

Tab, very funny you think your opinion is the only correct one? Read the thread. No, you cannot piss someone off for no reason, even if they are on probation. They have offered a full time job moving forward, but have dismissed because of performance reasons?? Sorry, I think you are a bit off the mark champ...

Dodgey bastards. Get a copy of the new contract, before you say anything.. This way, if you refuse to accept it, they can't say they sacked you for performance reasons. (why would they offer you a new contract if you wern't performing) What's the certificate worth to get? Is it worth it to take a pay cut, work as much overtime they want for nothing?? I'd say no??? Your call, I'd still be having a chat to a lawyer.. Mate, I got made redundant Christmas eve. I have been made redundant 3 times prior too. Life goes on... This is what I tell people in this situation... " You survived long before you started with this mob, you'll survive a long time after you leave them too" Good luck with what ever you decide. Pm me your number, if you want to chat.. Cheers Rob

I'd be taking it further, if I was you.. Personally, I wouldn't want to work for them now, but you have the possability of getting compensation. For unfare dismissal, you can be rewarded up to 26 weeks paid wages. This is very rare, but is a chance. I am sure they will change their reason for sacking you because you are within your probation period though. If you had something saying you were sacked because they wanted you to work for nothing, Bank some coin... Do yourself a favour and speak to a lawyer, as the first 30 mins is usually free. A lot do "no win, no fee" so they will tell you if you have a case or not. Slater and Gordan, comes to mind.. Good luck with it..
  8. Dags, Grit your teeth and bend over.... Aaaahhhhhh. It will only hurt the first few times. lol Me personally, would not be seeing any time inside. I would take the coin and be gone before they knew it. My opinion is, Fark the greedy carnts. "Oh our profits are down to $20 billion, lets raise our fees and not pass on interest cuts" Sad thing about it is, if they don't recover the coin, the insurance company will foot the bill, or their poor customers....
  9. Nice car Robo, nice colour too. ;-) I clayed mine, polished and waxed a few months back.... Wow, what a diff.. Enjoy the new ride...
  10. Hey Mark, a few guys I know are going.. We will post on FF though. I personally will only be doing Fridat T&T?? As for the LS1's. I wasn't there but I know a lot who were and this is my understanding: It WAS a well organised day. There were a lot of cars, so you don't get a heap of passes, like a T&T. There were a few detinations, which took time to clean up. There were also two cars into the wall. Kim into the wall and Danny into the wall / rolling over the line because of sh*te over the track. This was a 10.00pm, so they pulled the pin. Based on all of this, the meet was cut short. These sort of things happen!!
  11. I know a guy with a 307Kw clubby. He was asking me about my car, not really knowing fark all about F6's and thinking his was soooo farken hot. Said yeah it goes alright, does high 12's down the quarter...lol He was like WTF, mine only does 14's ish??????? Yeah well that's what you get for buying a piece of sh*te...lol
  12. Give it a clay Luke. I was a bit unsure the first time I tried it, but have never looked back. I have got everyone I know hooked on the clay bar too. I also use meguiars polish to bring up any dull areas and then wax it. Put aside a day..lol
  13. Personally I think your minds already made up? Do what you think is right. Both options have advantages and dis advantages. If your going to go sick with mods, I'd go with the T.
  14. Thanks for the support guys Let me just clarify something. I meant nothing to apply for that I am qualified for / my chosen profession. I have been labouring to keep money rolling in, not sitting on my arse. My wife works part time, so I am not eligible for the dole either. I still have a mortgage and three kids to feed, so I can't afford to sit around doing nothing. Yes there are heaps of jobs out there, but there are a lot of qualified people that would be applying for those positions too. What makes you think you'd get a job making pizzas with no experience, over someone who has experience? Also I am sure that HJ would prefer to employ a junior, as they would be paying them a lot less. Employers will be more inclined to hire someone who is going to hang around too, rather than filling a void till they find a job they want. Whilst I sort of agree with what you have said, I don't think it is as easy / clear cut as you are making it out to be.
  15. Driving the foon to Sydney.. Catch up with my family for a week or so. Get pissed with my brothers / mates for my birthday on the 15th and then head home. Will have to miss the Easter nats this year :-(
  16. The company I was working for shut down a division and as a result, 50+ people are without a job and I finished Xmas eve. I have been working with a mate, but that has all dried up too. Job market is very concerning atm.. Not been missing out on jobs, just nothing to apply for. I have a degree, 15 years Supply Chain experience and no job.. I also have paving / landscaping experience and run my own business for a couple of years, this is what has been keeping me going. Things don't change, the car will go and I'll have to start drawing money from my house?
